Especially since she expressed she had no desire to meet his parents or make a good impression.

okay i like what sora did for the FL in the end of ep 10 but i still cant warm up to her cause she's been a bitch…
I think reality has been creeping in for awhile now, as she watched Dr Chaโ€™s interactions with patients, that sheโ€™s lost touch with why she wanted to be a doctor. Tied in with recent circumstances, i think weโ€™re gonna see some good character growth from her.

Haha. Makes sense that it was mocking the mains. Itโ€™s by the same writer as My Cuteness is About To Expire. That writer has a way of making me laugh at the very tropes and qualities that usually send me ranting.

I have a question? Do we all agree that Dr. Roy is in love with Dr. Cha? We all are seem to be shipping them,…
He kinda fluctuates. There are scenes where he definitely seems to be falling for her. And then there are other scenes where it's more that he's angry with how she's being mistreated. Could be just that the anger and desire for her to have better overshadows the affectionate gazes that typically signify being in love.
Besides, he did say that it was complicated when asked about it.

Why would she need another piece of evidence when her husband already has a child out of wedlock.
To establish that it wasn't just a one-time thing that produced a child. But rather an ongoing and purposeful affair.

I do believe some nuance and understanding is needed here:๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐˜‹๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ข ๐˜‘๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ…
But make no mistake, I do believe a divorce is in the works. She's well positioned to get all the information she needs. And she even told her mom that she thinks she would have been okay with just her. Plus, there's words from Dr. Roy and her best friend that will reassure her. Plus, between the constant egging from her coworkers about acting like a couple, Seo In Ha doing things to bring attention to them, and the upcoming revelation that her family knows - I'm sure she's going to have her breaking point soon. Her patience is already thin. Besides, her son and her daughter will probably come around. Despite their actions, they do care about her and her wellbeing. Her son has even noticed that there's a better man wanting to take care of her. And his girlfriend probably has some insights that will help him see that divorce is the best thing for them. Also, Cha Jung Sook has a whole business in her name.

Will she end up with Dr. Roy? I think we're gonna get one of those hopeful beginnings in the last episode. She needs to find her identity without a man attached to it. But I think they will find their way together again.

Doctor Cha has had all of 2 breakdowns during this affair situation. One, when she found out about the affair. Two, when she found indisputable evidence AND found out that the affair has seemingly went on long enough to have a 17 year old daughter together. And then it seems like we might have another one soon when she finds out that her ENTIRE family knew and she was the last to know.

And she only found out about the affair 2 episodes ago (in a storyworld timespan of less than a week). She's allowed to be distressed, especially as more and more information is revealed. This isn't a "woe is me"/"let the world hit me" situation. This is a woman who's world turned upside down.

๐“ฃ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“’๐“ฑ๐“ช๐“ป๐“ช๐“ฌ๐“ฝ๐“ฎ๐“ป
Doctor Cha is a woman in her late 40s/early 50s who has been conditioned and told her ENTIRE life that her only purpose in life is being a good mother. Growing up, she watched her father mistreat her mother and be a bad person (we don't know in what capacity yet) and her mother sticking around because "that's what a good mother does." Then, when she got pregnant, she swiftly got thrown into a marriage with Seo In Ha. And from there, her newfound husband and constant presence Mother In Law berated and gaslit and mentally abused her for 20 years into thinking that the only life she can have is that of a housewife and mother, confined to the inside of the house.

She's used to being mistreated. Her MIL (Mother In Law) has been very vocal about disliking her and orders her around like a servant. Her husband hasn't shown her love a day that they've been married. No gifts. No flowers. No vacations. Not even a shared bedroom in over half the time they've been married. And apparently, she was never even shown off as his wife, despite him being an esteemed professor and surgeon who surely had fancy functions. And she's been neglected on several occasions, including life-threatening ones.

After her near-death experience, yes, she rejected some of this conditioning. Decided to chase her own desires. But this only undoes the conditioning related to her being worthless. This doesn't undo the conditioning (from her family, from her childhood, and from society) that family is everything.

And she's not sitting still doing nothing. She's getting the opinions of those close to her. She's looking up stories about divorce (which remember, she saw some pretty scary warnings away from divorce while doing this search). She's following him to get more information. She's saw a divorce lawyer. She decided to her next rotation in the same department as Choi Sung Hee. She's not just taking it. She's getting all the information and opinions needed to make an informed choice. Without making a scene.

Because a scene won't just impact Seo In Ha. It will impact her kids. It will impact her divorce case. It will impact her. It will impact her image at the hospital where she works. And she needs a plan for after the divorce goes through. As much as we would all LOVE a scene. In reality, it's not her best course of action. And now, she's probably also thinking about the other daughter, who is innocent in all of this.

Cha Jung Sook is a selfless character. Up until very recently, her value has always been only associated with what she can do for her family. And she still battles with this mindset everyday. It's something that her patients have been doing a great job at showing her otherwise. And there's been many reminders that times have changed. Both explicitly and with phrases like "in my generation, xyz." She's getting her footing and she's getting the information to make an informed and calm decision. She just hasn't made one yet.

People love to throw the word "divorce" around like it's a magic spell. It doesn't happen anywhere close to overnight. And there's a lot of things that get messy while divorce is in the works, even in the absolute best case scenario where things are amicable.

Also, another commenter said that there's no such thing as a "no fault" divorce in South Korea. If this is true, she needs evidence that he's at fault. And she is only going to get the best evidence if she doesn't cause a scene.
