If Song Han follows his novel counterpart, I'm already feeling sad for Miao Ansu as she was introduced since early part of the drama, and I love her as she's so adorable and good to Dou Zhao.

In the novel, Miao Ansu appears way later into the story as Song Han's bride from the country side. So, her relationship with Dou Zhao was that of sisters-in-law only.

That kiss from the horseback is officially my no.1 kiss scene in cdrama, period. It's just so beautiful!

Can't wait to actually watch it in the drama. Would only get better with the context, music, and full sequence.

Madam Jiang (SM's mother) used to have a black cat. SH knew about Madam Jiang's poisoning, so he got traumatic about poison. Hence, he always feeds his black cat with the food he's about to eat as poison tester.

Basically, SH's black cat leads to SM's mother poisoning, a major plot device.

And, the drama put a heavy emphasis on the black cat in one of the shots.

I skipped the early parts and started reading/skimming from chapter 180, the part where Dou Zhao started planning to break the engagement with WTY. But, post-marriage era Dou Zhao is just so badass, so I skim less and less the further I'm into the later chapters. 😄

Agreed! They also did significant changes to Miao Ansu and Zhao Zhangru, and I'm all for it.

I guess they'll follow the major plots of the novel, and introduce some changes to make the script flows nicer on-screen. The amount of characters and scope of the novel is just way too big.

I like the drama's version of the postponed wedding night as well. A bit lighter tone compared to the novel.

The screen thing was a good touch though, lol. Didn't expect it at all, and was a good addition.

I'm almost at the end of the novel. So far, SM and DZ have a very harmonious marital life. They respect each other, and always communicate and discuss clearly.

He really loves DZ. He's the uncle who argued with the Dou family over Wang Ying Xue matter in ep2.

A LOT of changes there! But, I'm also excited for those changes. Since the script is doing really well so far, I would like to trust that they got it for the second half as well.

And how DZ being so embarrassed when she learnt SM found out she tailed him. I got you girl, I would be so embarrassed as well. 🤣🤣
