This is a well written opinion. I like that you took the time to comment. I've enjoyed reading everyone's comments so far.

What I didn't like is the condescending tone in which it was written. I assume this was unintentional, if you want your comments to be received well and as intended I would suggest altering the tone.

To address your complaint about the pros and cons being written one after the other, rather than grouped together; I chose to do this as not to focus on too much negativity all in one go. This was not a decision based on padding out the piece due to not having good enough content. I'm no expert but this is what felt right to me.

Finally, as far as I'm aware an opinion piece is still an article. On MDL all pieces are presented on the articles page, there is not a separate opinion piece page, please let me know if I'm wrong.

I'll certainly keep your advice in mind if I ever write another article. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

With some dramas it's hard not to get sucked in, but of it was any drama the Untamed was a pretty good choice, imo it's a masterpiece! (There I go hyping lol)

Oh yeah, hype is completely different depending on whether you watch airing or binge when completed, that true. The most fun part of hype is sharing it with others! So long as you're expectations are in check that is.

I really didn't get what was so great about Parasite at all.

I think goblin was my first kdrama, I didn't know anything about bit and randomly spotted it on Viki. I loved it xD I do wonder if I would have liked it as much if I had known about the hype? I get it with movies all the time, I never trust movie hype, in fact it usually means I'll hate it.

Exactly. Hype creates disappointment when a show can't live up to impossible expectations. It's also a good point about following actors, I feel bad for Ji Chang Wook he's lovely but he's not had consistent projects, so definitely good to check more than just the actors involved.

You're so lucky to have never had spoilers ruin a show. I feel like it's a daily thing atm with IOTNBO & definitely was with TKEM during it's run (although I could just be spending too much time on the feeds xD). Thank you for reading & commenting <3
