The 2 of my 5 that I thought were hyped are ones that I know we're all over the feed. Even if I didn't watch them during the hype. (Hospital Playlist & The Untamed) From yours I've only really seen Circle being mentioned a lot. If I was good at math I'd work out our percentage of 10's per drama and compare lol

Friends feed is awesome for that, it's a shame though, I'd like people to be able to honestly express their thoughts/feelings on the global feed without being attacked. That way I could make more friends that hate the same things as me xD

It's true if you've got realistic expectations you're more likely to just enjoy a drama for what it is.

Agree, everyone's watching preferences are different - even if it seems like everyone is buzzing it still doesn't mean a drama is going to be good for you. Thank you for reading and commenting ^^

:( Out of 226 dramas, I've only watched 5 that I consider a 10/10 masterpieces, and only 2 of those are what I'd consider hyped dramas.

Yeah, it's one of the most annoying for sure. I haven't seen any IOTNBO yet at all (& probably won't due to the subject matter) but just like TKEM I could probably tell you the plot up until now from spoilers I've caught on the feeds xD

Thank you ❤️ that's a cool perspective, I've seen it happen quite quickly too, if I remember right MODC was at 9.7 and after the last episode dived to 8.3 (still respectable but a big drop!). But even though I was disappointed with the drama I'd at least enjoyed getting excited and met some lovely new people while it was on.

It's true something can be popular or hyped but not match your tastes at all - I know I'm late on this one but I recently watch My Mister and I was expecting to love it, but while I get that it's probably great objectively it just didn't suit my tastes. I think if I'd went into it with lower expectations maybe I'd have enjoyed it more.

So true, for me I missed The Untamed hype while it was airing and really wish I hadn't, but I still fangirl when ever it's mentioned now xD I have some great memories from watching 2gether/Whyru, even though they didn't end up being 10/10's I still had so much fun because of the hype & the awesome people fangirling with me.

Yes! I always lower expectations when a drama is all over the feed even before the first episode. It doesn't stop me getting excited though xD

Thank you! It took ages to get them xD It is him, being all adorable lol That's clever to have a strategy! I'm the same in that I generally only binge watch, and if I know I want to watch something I avoid the feeds on airing days. I still break and end up scrolling through endless spoilers xD

Haha It's a very good point, everyone is different and spoilers can sometimes be helpful in weeding out the shows you wouldn't really be interested in!

Thank you so much! I think ratings are really interesting, most shows start highly rated and plunge! It's why I don't rate until I've completed because it can change dramatically depending on the ending. But I understand it's hard not to get excited and have high expectations when you're all caught up in the hype, I should really know better by this point in my drama watching career lol

I relate so much to ignoring hype and then finally watching something and feeling like an idiot that I missed out for so long haha
