I would put this series on the same level as the series Unknown, even though Unknown has much more depth.

The actors are all very good.
The plot is very nice even though it's starting to drag a bit and lacks depth.
The music is beautiful.
The special effects are really nice.
I would put this series on the same level as the series Unknown.

The problem is that the series is starting to suffer from slow pacing and a lack of depth in the characters, except for Joe...

Because we're reaching episodes where we need to understand Ming, we need to get to know him and see the differences, but since we never focus on him... the viewers are struggling...

These aren't changes to me, maybe that's why I don't see them.
Ming never wanted to start a heterosexual family, he shows that from the beginning, and the issue is that we don't hear about it anymore because the series almost doesn't address his character or his family...

The change with Tong is the only real change we can see without reading the book.

He entered the industry, and according to the series, it looks like a desperate attempt to get noticed by Joe, so not really a change... if it was truly a passion, they should have shown us some flashbacks ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ.

Similarly... his breakdown, we would have liked to see that... why don't we have any flashbacks?

Don't you think the series lacks flashbacks and focus on Ming's character?

Title My Stand-In
I admit I'm a bit disappointed, let me explain:
At the beginning of the series, I got a little spoiler: You'll see, Ming will change.
I didn't expect him to change only during the final episodes...
I thought he would have changed during Joe's absence... but in truth, the drama didn't show us any change.

So for two whole years, he sincerely thought Joe would come back to him after his odious behavior and no one told him that it was crazy to think that?
During those two years, Ming didn't change... and I call that a lie (the spoiler was a lie)... Ming will change (if by change you mean begging Joe...) in the final episodes.

That said, I think it's very good that he keeps his character. Changing him completely would be a huge mistake. It's his personality.

I just thought he would have shown better behavior... for example, stopping the physical aggression and other things... that was still Ming's biggest problem, and I realize that hasn't changed, so in two years, Ming hasn't changed.

have you seen Ming's sister and brother... clearly this is not a family thing
Actually, if I understood correctly, in the books, Ming talks to his family about Joe and his orientation, and it doesn't go very well at first.

I would rather see that than yet another scene with Joe's fake mother, which really doesn't interest me.

Unfortunately, I find that focusing everything around sex is a huge weakness of the series... it's exhausting, and even though Joe signed a contract, it makes me uncomfortable. But it's always very sexualized in Thai dramas...

If episode 8 is simply an episode where Wut and Sol realize the truth... it's pointless...

I'll be honest... Sol is kind but way too insistent for me. Joe doesn't love him, period. If he decides to act like a friend, as Joe wanted, fine.

The scenes with the mother are uninteresting... and even awkward... How can Joe make this woman believe he is her son without ever thinking that he is usurping an identity... a family... that he is pretending to be someone he is not?

No, in episode 8, I want things to move faster. We've waited long enough! Since episode 4! It's been almost 8 episodes out of 12...

It's time to confront Ming... We don't care if Sol discovers anything... that's secondary... and the bones... it would be good to speed that up...

Seeing Joe's life is fine for 7 episodes... now we also need to see Ming's life...

Ideally: Episode 8: Wut and Sol discover about Joe and the bones are found. Episode 9: Ming understands too. Episodes 10-12: Ming's family + reconciliation.

Honestly, if he only learns in episode 10 that Joe is his Joe... the episodes are going to feel very, very, very long... and we will lose momentum. I think we've seen enough of "Ming" with the "new Joe"... For me, episode 8 should be the one where he discovers the truth.

I don't want to see Ming mistreating Joe anymore... it's just ridiculous at this point in the series...

I like the spiritual aspect in the preview for episode 8, I didn't think Ming believed in that. I like that he doubts Joe 2 and tries to understand while being KIND TO HIM, at least in the preview.

He already seemed to want to apologize for his behavior in episode 7 (cafรฉ... ending scene... apology... meal...)

I hope Tong won't be able to manipulate him anymore!

**Episode 7 Review:**

Another complicated episode for Joe, and honestly, I was getting a bit tired of it (for the first time since the beginning of the series...), but the second half didn't disappoint.

Ming finally seems to be realizing his behavior. I must admit that after the scene with Joe/Tharn, I thought there was no hope left for Ming.

But I noticed that Ming absolutely doesn't know how to interact with others, especially those close to him. I think this stems from his family upbringing. He wanted to apologize (the cafรฉ scene) but couldn't bring himself to say it. Why? I believe he was never taught to apologize or show weakness.

"Apologizing is for the weak."
"Our family is superior to others."
I think that's the kind of family he comes from.

I admit I wanted to slap him.

The ending... from the moment he puts Tong in his place and tries to apologize shows, in my opinion, the beginning of his redemption... which comes a bit late, in my view.

The episode was a bit less interesting than the others... I was getting tired of waiting...

But now, I think Ming will really start to evolve from this point on. This does not excuse his behavior towards Joe(2), because if this Joe 2 were another soul and not our Joe... he wouldn't deserve such treatment just because Ming is completely depressed... completely lost...

I hope he finally understands in episode 8 so we can move on... I find itโ€™s dragging on too long...

And then there's Joe... who, despite the "numerous" clues, still doesn't realize or doesn't want to hope? That the one Ming loves is him... Yet the cups, the apartment, the watch, Ming's drunken words... still leave room for doubt.

I regret that we don't get to hear Joe's thoughts when he finds the watch...

I was pretty accurate in my predictions for the future then. I just don't want Ming and Joe to get back together in episode 12... I've seen too many dramas/series that end like that... I would like Joe to be there when Ming faces her family, but that means they would have to get back together before episode 12.

Because there are only episodes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 left... So, in episode 7, Ming understands that it wasn't Tong. We can hope that in episode 8 we learn about Joe's death. In episode 9, Wut and Sol realize that Joe 2 is Joe 1. In episode 10, Ming discovers at the end that Joe is her Joe. That leaves only 2 episodes... One episode where Ming has to do her best to get Joe back. And the last one where they are together at the end...

And I think it's a shame. They should have added at least 4 more episodes...
