From what I understand, the rest of the episodes should differ significantly from the books.
Clearly, Joe can't believe that Ming still loves Tong. Based on what we've seen and heard from Ming, unless he's an idiot, they'll have to move on from this detail as it no longer applies.
They also can't prolong the dispute too much given the number of episodes remaining. They still need to set up Ming's family arc.
So, my guess for the upcoming episodes is: Ep 9: Discovery of the body + realization by everyone of the body's actual death, even though at this point everyone knows the soul is still there. Followed by multiple discussions with Ming, and a conversation with Joe about what he wants. Sol will continue to insist and will get shut down again because at some point, no means no. Waiting for Joe to be weak and lost is pathetic; just be his friend.
Ep 10: I foresee romantic moments orchestrated by Ming for Joe, and at the end of the episode, just as Joe is about to give Ming another chance, Ming disappears due to his family.
Ep 11: Ming's family and various complications. Ep 12: Couple moments.
I just think Joe should be a bit more honest. Heās a good person, but heās not honest. Heās very afraid of being judged by others. He should have been upfront with Sol; now weāre going to have more unnecessary scenes of Sol thinking he has a chance.
Yet people will come and say that Vegas is a better person than Ming, despite his much more serious actions...
Unfortunately, many people have implied that even Vegas wouldnāt have dared, although heās the worst, or at least one of the worst. In Episode 8, Ming showed (I think) an interesting slight change! He was less abrupt, more gentle. Itās a good starting point.
This is going to be an interesting discussion lol. If weāre going by the novel, Ming isnāt Joeās type at…
Why haven't any of Joe's relationships worked out? Because he was only dating men who weren't really his type. Men who didn't truly match what he actually likes. He's almost thirty now, and he's starting to realize what kind of person he genuinely likes. And what he likes are men like Ming. That's why their relationship worked out while all he had before were one-night stands.
I hope you wonāt yell at me š, but I think thereās something a lot of you are missing:Every time Joe has…
Many people are like Joe, yet they aren't with someone like Ming. Joe could have easily taken Sol's money, but he refused twice.
Ming is also in a difficult psychological state. He's the son of wealthy parents, raised in a loveless family with strict upbringing, and he's dealing with his homosexuality in a dangerous world.
It's not just Joe who has struggles.
Now, let's talk about Sol. He's an orphan... why does he love Joe instead of someone like Ming?
Let's be honest, Joe is 30 years old, not 15. He's a man, not a child. He has his preferences, and that's all š« .

Why do you all want Ming to become someone he's not
Why should he change the way he is with others? He doesn't need to be falsely friendly or flash big smiles at everyone. Have you never met someone who is cold on the outside but tender in private? That's what Ming seems to be. And don't forget his social status and family background. Ming can't afford to be adorable, naive, and kind to everyone. He was like that with Tong, and Tong took advantage of it. How many people are like Tong? A lot. He's protecting himself, and that's normal.
I'm really worried that they'll change the ending just because of your comments. All because you have an idea of the perfect person, and you think someone has to be a green flag to be in a relationship. If Joe loved green flags, he'd be head over heels for Sol.
Has he shown any interest in Sol? No! And I really hope they don't change that just to please you because it would be completely ridiculous.
If I ask you about your favorite type of partner, would everyone answer the same?
I suppose not, and I hope not. Some people prefer bad boys, others like kind-hearted men, and some prefer cute guys. Some may like a jealous and possessive man (like Joe), while others may dislike it.
Joe has his perfect type of love: a jealous and possessive man who will be there for him, someone who surprises him.
Ming also has his type: a kind-hearted, somewhat naive, and gentle man with a big heart.
Sol shares a similar type to Ming.
The problem is, Sol isn't the type of man Joe loves.
Sol is a busy, kind, and cheerful man.
There's a mismatch in love compatibility.
Sol needs to find a man who sees him as their ideal type as well.
Episode 10 will finally be romantic! I was starting to get tired of waiting.
And... Ming, I beg you, kill Tong. Kill him! Your sister will find someone better. Don't let him treat Joe like that!

š
In fact, he has a lot of flaws. But since the actor is cute, no one will say anything š.
Ming could also find someone better, a rich guy with the same type of personality as Joe.
You can always find "better," but better is not necessarily what suits us.
They fit perfectly together.
As mentioned earlier, they are the absolute Yin and Yang.

Not everyone has the same preferences.
We just need to accept it and see their love story for what it is.
