Late to this — just finished the second episode. But this is so, so, so much better, more refreshing, sexier, slicker, and so much more original than every other BL series GMMTV put out this year (MuTeLuv being the sole zany exception). The acting is great, the story is engaging, it looks real even though the atmosphere is languid and dreamlike, characters have layers omg, the AI critique is urgent and interesting, and the show keeps surprising you. Plus: no college or high school students! Direction and production values are superlative. Have you noticed all those scenes without music to heighten the tension and the dissolves?
And have you noticed how the story has a lot in common with the plot of The Devil Wears Prada 2?
This is not your usual fujoshi fare. It’s been a Grade-A production so far. I know it’s gonna sag somewhere around the middle but for now? Congrats to everyone involved in this.
For something that claims to be a mystery, there's a surprising lack of shadows here. (I've watched it up to ep. 5.. The cinematography is too bright; it's not even sexy. Everything feels flat. The plot is interesting but the bright lighting doesn’t help at all.
I know what you wanted to do in episode 8 (Oh life is short etc.) but it was neither organic (you've been dragging the main couple's ridiculous conflict forever because!) nor original. HIStory 3 did it years before –in their final chapter, with the main couple – and it made more sense because the season was at least called Make Our Days Count. In Thai BL, Sammon knows how to write great sad or bittersweet endings (Spare Me Your Mercy, 4Minutes). As for Reloved, you can write long comments to defend episode 8 here but... nah.
ChtaGPT, I’m writing a BL series called Reloved. How can I troll my audience really hard with a plot that could be solved in two episodes? Also, how can I really piss everyone off in episode 8?
Another week, another episode of The Wicked Game with people shouting, objects being thrown across the room, people being shot or slapped (usually by their father or brother). By now, it's already comfort food!

Excellent question, Raffy. He’s the most boring person in the entire series.

Next scene: Than eating out with his cop pals on the streets of Bangkok.
