i know. its almost funny to m because the ml actor usually plays villians in cdramas XD but he's actually really good at playing the ML who gets duped by little children and acting romantic and stuff XD

i know. but their was a scene where she hated dongyue for no reason and i didnt really get that??? like why would she hate her brother falling in love? but that part makes sense now

awww, the 2nd couple is so cute. Theyre so funny and adorable together. Actually the main couple had a bit of a rough start for me, but theyre equally great to watch, and I do feel the chemistry. This drama started off a bit like ??????? but once it settled into sort of slice of life, everyone living in the mansion, getting along like one big family, I'm really enjoying it. The costume design is fabulous too. If only the writing was a little less all over the place in the beginning, and if they made the fl smarter lol XD but its still pretty enjoyable. Oh and the sets are gorgeous.

I suggest just watching the princess and eunuchs scenes. their love story is heartbreaking and beautiful but it only appears about 2/3rds in haha. That's what i did. the acting was so good and the forbidden romancce is so sad

If I had to translate the title, I would've called it something like "im still able to not love you" which is closer to the japanese title, expressing the leads denial and stubborness for each other, and how they view falling for each other as "wrong" cause theyre meant to be bffs, and not falling for each other is like a goal they live by

yeah... i got used to rating dramas highly too. Does that mean if I rate something an 8, its more like a 7 hahahah

i mean their spy team has 2 girls and 4 boys, which is pretty much the opposite of being sexist considering women back then are usually married off at like 12 haha. The one girl plays the "healer" role which i guess is more stereotypical, but this show is written well so that's not all she's about. The characters are complex. Plus the other girl completely goes against the grain and is a strategist, leader and fighter, and the boys all have different sides to them, struggles, sensitivities. You literally don't need to worry about the usual bs in cdramas in this drama lol. It's very well-written.

100% reccomend Young blood. it gives me similiar vibes and it's very well written with very clever leads and enemies.

but i do like that they're not concerned overtrying to reach a certain number of episdoes and then dragging it out. If they think a story needs 6 episodes each 15min each XD well they'll do it. hahahah. thats what i like. just thinking about how every kdrama in existence is 16 episodes is kind of insane. imagaine if every book had to be excatly 500 pages or something XD

you're totally right. theyre getting shorter and shorter. its like a big ad for the manga XD heck, some cdrama trailers go for like 30min XD that's easily longer than alot of current jdramass, so funny

omg. the little sister is the best character ever. i love her. such a great actress too XD love how her and the ml talk to each other XD freaking hilarious

ive never really liked how fastpaced jdramas sometimes are because its almost like you cant connect with everything thats happening, and while i felt that a little bit in ep 1, this drama somehow does a really good job of making me like the characters, giving them personalities, world building, in such a short time lol. I don't know if the actors are just really good or have really good chemistry or if the writing is really good???????????????????? (im talking about hte romancce plot, because the logic of hte show makes little sense LOL) but this is really nice to watch lol XD alot of the times, when the couple gets together, its like the writer has no idea how to write the characters in a relationship and it becomes really boring, but thats not the case here.
OK tldr. omg theyre so cute wow lol. i am super impressed with both actors, they have such quirky personalities that shine through in their acting

yeah sometimes i forget that some cdramas have a target audience age and i dont fit it XD just like how there are kids shows on american tv, i shouldnt be comparing spongebob to like, game of thrones or whatever lol.

still to this day, young blood is the only drama i can think of where im not annoyed by the female's character lol. cdramas hate making complex female characters XD

from the comments, it seems he was "adopted" when he was already grown-up, so i dont think they grew up together like brother and sister. he he was just her childhood friend, who by the looks of it, has always liked her, even before he joined their family.

oh i still have to watch that. isnt it funny that id literally never heard of chang-an until it came out, and now pretty much every new historical drama is based in chang'an lol. the trends in cdrama go hard LOL.

agree in general with this statement, because i enjoyed intense love LOL, but for most dramas, its like the writers dont know how to write a couple in a relationship. they usually make them do overly sweet things and disregard their personalities. its so out of character and makes the story so boring, especially as i was probs watching for the main leads dynamics and now their original relationship has disappeared for superficial "cute" moments that always have too many balloons, fairylights and roses lol (that is not how love works XD )
