when i watch american tv: wow that guy is tall when i watch kdramas: wow is that guy tall or has the director just hired really short supporting cast *confused* am i the only one? hahaha
I can't explain the other things you said bc I really think it's a matter of taste (you see, I don't love this…
yeah, i too dont think it's a perfect drama and i think the writing isn't topnotch: i think the romantic "accidents" or whatveer you want to call them aren't the most subtle ( alittle forced) so sometimes im like ... really?? hahah but at the same time it's exactly what it's supposed to be, lighthearted romance, so i just let it slide cause that's what we're here for anyway, also i find the "mystery clues" that our super smart leader picks out to be really obvious XD but oncce again, it's not supposed to be a mystsery drama so *shrugs shoulders* what i like the most is this drama has random moments of super A Class dialogues or really interesting plots were im just like... where did you come from?? so even if it's not all exceptional, it's somehow made me binge it unlike any recent drama ive been watching. LOL i love the fashion too, them hairpin things are so pretty, especially when they've got crystals or dragons or whatever in them hahaha, there was this one scene with an old lady and i cant even remember what her character was cause i spent the whole time staring at the stone in her hairpin cause it was cut really raw but still sat in a silver hold and i was like wow. nice. HA. anyway, like you said it's probs just everyone's taste. ps. wow ive been waiting for melting me softly to finish so i can binge it since forever so that really sucks
im confused? im about half way through the current aired episodes and this show is great. the characters are interesting, the plots and circumstances are unique. you've got the pitiful guy you root for who becomes a king overnight and him vs the palace and then the unlikely lovestory between his almost-wife and their matchmaker. The cinematogrpahy is also very pretty. this is a perfect romcom with just enough heart and depth to make the story touching. am i the only one who doesn't understand why most people are saying it's not that good?
after seeing 100s of cdramas, the main pair in this show is still one of the few that really makes me emotional. maybe it's because i love the main FL (which is really rare) so you're not hating half the CP all the time, but besides that, their friendship is really the best, i also find it hilarious that the guy is super strict with a stiff no-nonsense personality and yet he goes along with pretty much all of the FL's imaginations, schemes and random shennanigans. They're meant to be enemies (well, the FL calls him her ARCH nemesis while he doesnt really give a sht ) but they're actually BFFs LOL. the production is low-budget but i can't help but find this drama so special, the main pair and their friends are sooooooo cute
hey (: could you tell me if those female characters are the annoying types who don't understand what 'no' means…
yeah, ive seen Ashes of Love, i liked it in the beginning but i think cause it dragged a bit with so many episodes i no longer found it enjoyable towards the middle/end
hey (: could you tell me if those female characters are the annoying types who don't understand what 'no' means…
omg ok, i dont know if i can deal with the overbearing mother AND "exgirlfriend who comes back from america to wreck havoc" or "i tell everyone we're engaged despite him treating me like a friend for 20 years" types of fl characters, but i could tolerate it if the main FL isn't annoying and mary-sue. how is her personality?
After 40 episodes, i can now say that I like the Korean version "Giant" much better than this Chinese version.…
could i ask how similiar the stories are? like is it exactly the same as Giant or are their major changes to script/added characters? (im trying to figure out which ver. i should watch? thanks (:
Only up to ep16 and feeling the drag. There are 3 -4 female characters needing to be slapped silly.
hey (: could you tell me if those female characters are the annoying types who don't understand what 'no' means and are obsessed with the ML and probs won't learn their lesson till ep 40 XD if so imma head out lol
ok, despite my rant that i posted when i was half way through the series, this show had a lot of cute characters and some heartwarming scenes between the students and teachers. to conclude i say the worst part of this drama was it's middle, but it's ending episodes had some nice moments.
ugh, why did they have to make the female lead so dumb. im not even asking for more then average intelligence (although genius characters are always interesting) god knows i myself am a few iq points off "below average" hahaha, but please, can we at least write her a brain. istg. who wrote this script. i'm so mad. i can't even blame the actress. no one can save this role. i have never been so annoyed in my life, and what's funny is the annoyance came to me slowly but is now so intense i wonder if i can finish the show: once tolerable actions such as her tripping over her own feet become by about ep 15, totally intolerable, they make me want to roll my eyes till they fall out of my head and yet i still have the desire to bleach my empty eye sockets. omg, i know it's 2015 and tdrama "knows better" now but like, come on. seriously?
Seriously, the comedy, story, sidecharacters, acting and unqiue way this was produced (kind of like a mockumentary style) made this drama so interesting and great and i totally reccomend everyone watches it even though the female lead character is really lacking. Because of these things i can still say this drama should get a solid 8.5/10 and i dont want to put anyone off the drama cause i feel it's worth it anyway, especially the grandpa character HAHAH (he was the best) but just to rant about the FL. ugh, this would've been a perfect drama if it weren't for the way she was written, which was a total airhead read: idiot to put it nicely, who's only redeeming quality was that she was "nice". Well i don't know about you, but in the real world, the majority of people are "nice", in fact that's some basic, mandotory decent-human shit so i dont know how that can be a character trait and the reason the two men fall for her but ok. other then that she has no backbone, can't think for herself and spends her life distributing paper cups and being dragged around by anyone who asks. I get that they didn't make her too independent or mature otherwise how would the chemsitry be with a younger man, but like, seriously?? you don't have to reduce her to a brainless idiot. 5 year olds have more personality and wits then her, istg. ok rant over. let's all move on from this kind of FL. this drama was made in 2014 so i'll forgive it, here's to more interesting and complex FLs in the future, hazar!
as far as i know they;ve always had english subtitles for some shows and others there's dodge machine translations for less popular shows (though i dont reccomend because they make 0 sense) Does this mean they've recently added proper subtitles to a couple more shows or is it the same as it's always been?? I checked some of the listed dramas like Young Blood and they don't have any new subtitles....
can you guys tell me about is this drama is funny imean i love comedy dramas is this drama funny
its the usual romcom genre, not super deep or serious so while you get some drama and melo, its mostly romance/comedy/friendship. theres definitely funny moments
i adore this movie. very touching and heartfelt, it's all about the little things and everyday moments. It's a story about a man trying to find what he really wants in life. It's a love story but also one of self-discovery. The acting was great, the couple and all their friends were cute. A great movie to watch.
same. when he did a 180 and became wedding obsessed and bought all that furniture and shit and sat on that couch he spent 3-months getting, wrapped in the blanket because his GF was like "youre acting crazy" like that was hilarious and cute, especially when he just kept the ring in his pocket at all times.
