awwwww i loved this show, i loved the acting and how the main guy was always compared to a lion, cause he's really just a giant cat, lookwise and personality wise XD i loved the main leads friendship: although he's her boss they're clsoe enough to tease each other and i just adore that they started the company together, like they've been in this thing together since the beginning. it's such a feel good show. i loved our second leads too: i'll always have a soft-spot for our playboys who stumble when they meet "the one", especially when "the one" is their best friend who doesn't put up with their BS. I liked that the ceo treated her nicely and didn't confess for ages not because he's arrogant and cold, but because he keeps his emotions to himself and had troubling saying or admitting it. Actually both main couples are about being with someone for so long that you're so used to their presence, you don't even realise you're already in love with them. i think this is a super cute theme, and perfect for this drama.
can anyone tell me how long the ML remains as an "idiot" like is it pretty much teh whole time or does it get "resolved" somewhere along the story? i just really hate plots like that that drag on
Yes he injured his waist and scheduling conflicts. Apparently he had asked the production company to push it back…
OMG that's the stupidest thing ive ever heard hskjhfkshfkjsds. istg this only happens in china where they just replace actors and expect the audience to not care. people not only fall in love with the story but the actors too. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ep 21/22: for someone who's either smirking or angry all the time, yiming's face when mengran told him he was…
replying to myself because i was totally right and their storyline was resolved in like 2 minutes with 0 discussion about any of their problems -.- the pain
yeah i know xD i did mention that at the end of my review but it's hella long so i doubt anyone would read all…
i think the good thing about viki is that it's always HD lol. I only turn timed-comments on whenever i hate the show and want to laugh and hear other people bash it, otherwise i turn it off because the comments never match the atmosphere off the scene XD live commentary is hilarious.
Viki has a lot of older chinese and taiwanese shows, and youre always guarranted good subtitles, i dunno, i find it pretty useful, although you can't speed up the video like other sites. I thnk it also gets the episodes as soon as they come out? (not too sure) and sometimes they're presubbed so you can watch right away, otherwise you have to wait for the volunteers to sub it but they sub it live so you can watch an episode at 50% subbed and then refresh it once you reach the unsubbed part and it'll be at like 70% or whatver (i do this all the time cause im impatient af lol) yeahhh, that's pretty much it. one thing i hate about viki is every episode has a thumnail and sometimes it spoils something in the episode and it's seriously frustrating, that's really all i have to say about viki tho
yeah i know xD i did mention that at the end of my review but it's hella long so i doubt anyone would read all…
yeah i didn't really like legend of fuyao either, it was sort of interesting in the beginning but it went for too long and eventually i was like, where is this even going????? the writing was weird.
omg. i actually totally forgot about bloody romance. it's one of my fav dramas of all times lol. The production and ost is really good (i downloaded the songs hah) and i fell for the cp so hard. It has this magical vibe about it, so though it's a bit violent/gruesome, i watched it anyway. It's got a lot of mixed reviews though, so i guess people either adore it like me and are hoping for S2 or they can't understand the hype lol. anyway, if you want forbidden love, then like the biased person i am, i recommend lol.
awww its over, i fell in love with the side characters and their love stories. the setting was also unique. the actors were all fresh and new too which was refreshing.
totally agree, i couldn't stand this show after about 11 eps because the writing is literally the worst. characters have 0 personality because they change everytime "plot" needs someone to act evil or shameless, then the audience is supposed to go along with it like a perfectly decent person didn't just do something crazy stupid or crazy psychotic cause LOGIC, calling it a "plot twist" when to me it's more like a plot malfunction. Seriously, when a story has 0 logic, the characters become unlikeable and you just don't even care about them becasue they don't even seem real, they're just vessels for drama that could be played out by any character in dramaland. It's like a soap opera: the melodramatic scenarios are made first and then they just plugin whichever characters with 0 thought. I'm really tired of this way of storytelling, especially when the melodrama is the same old unborn outofwedlock secret adopted heir half brother real mother's aunts orphan secretly a prince child. like please XD Let's not even mention how the insane episode count makes the same old conflicts rehashed again and again and the audience is expected to care once we've seen the same thing for the 50th time. I'm so confused only your review talks about this lol, so thanks for writing it.
yeah i know xD i did mention that at the end of my review but it's hella long so i doubt anyone would read all…
its all g XD yeah i only really write reviews when i have something to say, and even then i mostly just write in the comment sections then post an actual review.
in GMP rather than abuse his power, his responsibility and circumstances as a prince forces him into situations the FL can't always accept. It's more tragic because he's not actually a bad guy if that makes sense. Anyway, if you look at the comments of GMP debating his character is 90% of the fun, so i totally recommend finishing it and seeing if you sympathise with him or hate him LOL. im on Team Pity lol.
I found Story of Minglan is 70% serious and filmed very slice-of-lifey so it does get deeper as the episodes go, if you were interested in it.
Yeah, I've seen alot of those dramas, the only one i thought was well done was Nirvana in fire 2. I fyou're looking for a historical drama to watch, one i really enjoyed that i feel isn't as popular is The Legend of Yunxi. It's cgi is a bit questionable but i found the CP cute and the story intersting. I also heard that it aired around the same time as Legend of Fuyao and while Fuyao was popular overseas, Yunxi recieved more love in china. so yeah XD that's literally the only one i could recommend (then again it was like my 2nd cdrama so i cant bet on my life that it's any better then most cdramas lol)
Both Story of Ming Lan and Goodbye My Princess were in 2018 and 2019. Princess Weiyoung was in 2016, so that means…
yeah i know xD i did mention that at the end of my review but it's hella long so i doubt anyone would read all of it lol XD but yeah, that's why i said that those two dramas probably drew a lot of inspiration from this one, except that they did it better so i suggested people just watch those instead of this one.
ep 21/22: for someone who's either smirking or angry all the time, yiming's face when mengran told him he was exactly like the bully on the plane, really broke my heart a little. i loved that scene because he finally had enough and spoke his mind and told mengran off and she also spoke her mind and told him off for trying to teach her a lesson and for being contradicting. I feel bad for yiming because in their relationship, whoever catches feelings first pretty much loses, so while she torments him all the time and he wants to know everything about her and fix all her problems, she's not even interested in his past or about how he's really feeling (which is so frustrating to watch, like omg someone listen to this boy's stories and his trauma so he has someone he can be real with for once in his life like he needs a hug XD ) which hopefully will change, but now i start to worry cause theres only two eps left and he's not even really in her peripheral and its just not enough time imo. ugh, theyre my fav characters; i want them to have proper development and explore all parts of their storyline because it's fascinating.
