NRTA is actually proposing 40 episode limit, which I think is for the best, unless it's an actual epic, like Qin…
thanks for the reply, yeah i binged it (why did i do that) i a definitely see why you said it could use more episodes, the ending was rushed

Title The Rise of Phoenixes Spoiler
struggles to survive for 70 eps, yeets themselves off a cliff XD i cannot
okay but more seriously, so they couldn't be together because of the blood shed that other people who were vaguely related to them (as insisted by said people) and hung up on their own revenge and didn't even do these things for right reasons, for some reason the leads, especially the female lead, feels like its HER FAULT and she should be responsible for other people's actions? like i cannot. that is so freaking dumb, I feel like she was only smart at the very beginning but for most of the show she was wreckless and always sided with whoever looked pitiful no matter the situation, the people involved, even if she was accusing her friends, loyal subjects, the man she loved, her trust goes out the window when she sees a poor helpless woman tied up or a kid or whatever and doesn't even listen to any explanations. it melted my actual brain trying to comprehend what she was thinking. she was always mad at ning yi when he literally did nothign wrong, like he's not a perfect character but i cannot legit think of ONE thing he did wrong to her. even during the multiple times she wanted to leave him, he let her without forcing her to stay. i think im also just so tired of the specialist snowflake female leads where kingdoms and princes and just everyone wants to die for them but then theyre not. even. that. smart. (they'll insist that they are tho) ugh, this post has 0 grammar but im too mad to even reread it. to make this not super negative i found the servants super cute in this story and they were the best characters to the end, the ml's acting was super interesting ( cant decide whether i like it or not but it's a style i've never seen before so i was really engaged so props to him) and i was mega impressed by that flood/tsunami scene that was really well-done and some blockbuster hollywood sht that mustve costed $$$$$$$$$

Title Nine Kilometers of Love Spoiler
up to ep 20:
i really love yiming and mengrans story. finally yuming's story has been revealed and just as i expected, im feeling more and more sorry for him. All his life he's watched his mom lower herself and marry these rich men in the name of providing for him and while i think her desperateness must've been real, there's this element of her not needing to go to this extreme ie. maybe she really is obsessed with money and doesn't believe in love at all, as like how she lectures him on the daily about it. This environment has caused him to have 0 belief in real love, 0 belief that women would want anything else from him except his money and that that's totally normal and something he should enjoy and not seek for anything esle. Let's not add him not having a father figure to look up to that isn't trash/actually cares about him or his mom/is even around, there's no way he's growing up with a normal perspective on love, and yet to make it worse, i think he sees his mom in every woman who sells herself to him and hates them for it even though he tries to convince himself to not care about anything other then having fun. Then we enter mengran who to him becomes the first person who didn't care about his money and imo was his last attempt at trusting someone again and believing in them. So when she turns out like everyone else (albiet her circumstances) it really broke my heart seeing him have to pretend he's ok with his usual "no feelings" relationship. what hurts more is he's not gonna let go (despite knowing her motives) because he really likes her and will take anything he cant get. He always hated his mother for acting so dependable and selling herself in relationships but underneath his "upper hand" relationship where he's using mengran, he's actually the one being used and his feelings treated like dirt. In this situation it's not like he can turn around and take back everything he said about not caring (but even if he did he'd lose her) so he can only just sit there and take everything. There's only one thing worse then being taken advantag of and that's being take advantage of while you pretend you're the one who wants this. Anyway, i love his character and i love that the girl doesn't stay as the "perfect sunshine that melts the ceo's heart", she has her limits and is feeling confused and it just makes the story very interesting

LOL - tyvm so kind of you. And it is so great tp know I am not alone in this. Btw, I wasn't brave. More like foolish...…
lol that high pitched dubbing tho (im pretty sure its like 2 specfiic voice actors that get usedd in everything) im almost sad to say ive seen so many dramas it doesn't even phase me anymore,

personally i found the story so stretched out, it didn't need 63 episodes, so just be aware of drag through some…
yeah if this isn't your first cdrama, then you'll probs end up skipping heaps, imo any good plot/characters this show has is ruined by the length (not that i found the plot revolutionary anyway) but yeah, a typical cdrama imo

lol, taking one for the team XD but in all serious, it's good there are reviews like yours because then we won't see stupid female leads like this if lots of people don't like it. i adore cdramas, but one thing a lot of them lack is giving the FLs any redeeming qualities or even making them a likeable character, let alone a realistic person who could exist in this world.

Review Love O2O
i hate this drama and its hype so much that i occasionly check to see if anyone new has posted a bad review XD thanks for writing this because while i've always agreed with literally everything you said, you enlightened me to something i never realise before, that the FL really did quit playing a game she's supposed to love just cause he didn't show up once XD i laughed so hard when you called her the specialist snowflake, she really was. Her character had 0 personality except being perfect, smart and pretty (except despite how they tried to make her sound intelligent, she never ever actually did anything smart. even when she got hired to their startup she just cooked food, brouht tea and made beds and never even touched a computer LOL WHAT XD) and the reason why they liked each other was because he was hot and the most popular guy at school and the best player and he liked her cause she was the best female player and pretty....... the shallowness is making my eyes bleed stop. Honestly i was fine with him sort of being a jerk and just demanding her to date him (she was too happy fangirling anyway) as i was waiting for the plot to kick in aka the character development where they discover each other's flaws, real personalities, where he likes her for more then her gaming skills and looks, where she stops idolising him and realises he's a real person and they look back on themselves and feel bad.... but then the drama just ends XD LOL I WAS LIKE ??? this seriously can't be real. but it is. This story was about two robots falling in love, and no lie, the fl was kind of a fangirling airhead and the male lead was honestly a jerk and treated the fl like his pet. there was even a scene where she was having a fight with her bff and to comfort her he said "She's a very small part of your life, while I'm your everything. From now on, you're not allowed to shed tears for anyone else." and she found that line endearing????? i freaking cannot XD XD XD

Review Ashes of Love Spoiler
finally a review that feels the same way as me. this show is so overrated i actually don't even understand. I too found the female lead completely unlikeable and super annoying and for the life of me could not understand how she caught not one but two men's affections (to the point of fighting to the death) as well as charming pretty much everyone on the planet, causing a war at the end with lots of people dying throughout the story. I also found the male lead to be a bit cliche in character, and this show dragged sooooooooooooooo much, the villians just wouldn't die or learn their lesson, or didn't understand that NO means NO, but it was mostly the female lead character, she acted like she was 5, but i guess being an airhead and completely uncapable is considered "cute" i also have no idea how people say she grows as a character and becomes more mature as the seal breaks, like WHERE. she does become a little more mature, i admit, but going from a 5 yr old to a 7 yr old makes me think whats even the point. Anyway, I didn't want to leave a mean review so i'll just boost yours up instead so that there's at least one sane review amongst the top. thanks for writing what i wanted to say lol, ,you brave soul.

Is it slow paced like most C-Drama or is it a bit faster paced like K and T-Drama's?
personally i found the story so stretched out, it didn't need 63 episodes, so just be aware of drag through some parts of it.

2 eps in and personally for me this show was way to much on the silly side/unrealistic, comedy was a complete…
theres a more serious (but also has comedy) and more cleverly written series called Young Blood that has a very similar storyline to this one, you might want to check it out if you were interested in the idea of a secret investigation institute owned by the government that mostly employee youth, set in a historical period.
On The Rise of Phoenixes Sep 28, 2019
70 episodes. china why, i love historical dramas but everytime i want to watch one it's like taking up a part-time job. my eyes and brain cannot stay concentrated in a show that long and i have yet to see a cdrama that needs 50 episodes let alone 70 to tell a story without drag ........ i mea i'll probs end up watching it anyway XD i just wanted to rant HAHAHA

Title Young Blood
This drama is so freaking good. The writing is clever, the females are badass, the male leads are badass, everyone is intelligent. All the characters are super likeable and unique, this show should be more popular, its like The Plough Department of Song Dynasty (which i liked), but personally i think this is more clever and better written, totally recommend to anyone who likes young people antics, spies and martial arts set in historical period

Title Young Blood Spoiler
lol, the two leads are both so smart, that's why they butt heads. No, as his older brother said, the fact that ZX is even complaining about her let alone remembering her existence proves his obnxoxious arrogant-self acknowledges her as someone on his "level".
At ep 7: I love how he made the rich kid leader so that he can manipulate him later, im 100% convinced he got injured on purpose for some reason that only he can think of. He probs doesn't want to be bossed around LOL.
the father and the two sons are the cutest family ever. I love the dynamic and how cool they are, each are wonderfully brave and heroic in their own way, but look after each other and would do anything for each other. I also just realised that Pingjing never found out that it was his older brother being hard on him all these years, not the dad, as he'd thought. His dad was a much bigger softy then he'd ever know, and his older brother was the strict one XD this makes me a bit sad
On Devil beside You Sep 27, 2019
this show is a classic for a reason. I must say tho i'm used to the typical antics of older taiwan dramas, this one takes the cake in terms of crazy violent acts LOL, people would do crazy stuff and then be completely forgiven after a minute XD other than that, i'd actually say all the characters are way more reasonable in terms of relationships/decisions then even a lot of modern dramas, which was really suprising. Anyway, the start is very manga live-action with silly effects and over the top intros, but the story gets deeper as it goes along, also the crazy "violence" disappears after a couple of episodes. one thing i can say is i've never seen a couple with so much chemistry before.

Title I Don't Love You Yet Spoiler
lol, i thought Ren and Yo laughed a lot cause it was in the script, but Jin and Rika seem to be the type of people…
Yes rike and Jin are such squishy people lol XD The poster is really really nice, I like how it resembles the ending scene too when Ren grabs her from behind when walking with all their stuff
