Popularity for actresses doesn’t work that way. They generally have to have series of successful shows. Tbh a lot of the actresses that are bigger names have been in a lot of dramas. Xiao Ran has only been in around 5. Lucky for her though is the fact that she has a well liked classic character so she has been able to stay in the public eye. Now that she has Huamei under her belt too, she also has a successful main theme drama too so she’s hopefully opened up avenues to different and better type dramas in the future.

Haha, the atmosphere for the booting ceremony was so lively! Everyone was so happy and complimentary and basically just falling in love😂 Seeing the stylist team, I’m intrigued. I think it’s supposed to be a relatively solid one. I know Fang Sizhe is involved.

It’s because she started much later than other actresses and then had no one to back her for several years and basically had to wait for the results of GBMP and subsequent shows in order to get more work.

She’s actually been filming nonstop since February of last year but this her first heroine drama is a while. I felt she was waiting for better quality scripts/ drama/ teams until she got one.
