I can understand the lack of international popularity. It feels like they didn’t intend to release this overseas at all. It didn’t get advertised internationally. I think they decided to air it because foreign fans followed the drama and messaged the platforms. Only then did there seem to be movement. Most people are just annoyed at the downvoting that seems intentionally malicious.

It’s really the dark horse of 2023. I thought it would be okay considering the cast but I didn’t expect that it would be so good, I’d be afraid to look away for a moment because I might miss something😂 Yesterday it sucked up a market share of 20%, which is crazy considering the show has basically 0 marketing and relies on word of mouth. Numbers like that usually belong to shows with massive advertising budgets, budgets probably bigger than the entire budget of this show. The low ratings are really sad and infuriating considering how much garbage the leads have been getting. They’ve basically upset the echelon of their cohort so marketing accounts are doing all that they can to discredit them. Now it seems like MDL is following that trend, which is a shame. A lot of people will miss this drama because of some haters.

Lmao, the comments are really funny on this show🤣 At first I thought it might devolve into a fight but it seems most are being good natured about it or are explaining the problem clearly. I think Bai Hui is getting more scenes to flesh out the motivations for later. The spy scenes are definitely setup but the editor/director has to remember most viewers are watching the show for the good guys and keep this in balance.

The downvoting is happening with a pattern. Basically when the results for TV rankings come out, this show gets downvoted every time it beats certain shows on the charts.Before it started beating out the big traffic shows and breaking some records, the score was fine. We already know that fans from other shows have led a campaign to downvote this show on Douban because they got caught out but I’m surprised to see it on MDL. It may biased in voting but I’ve always thought it was pretty honest… The lemon does mean sour🤣 It’s used on Weibo but it perfectly describes these downvoters.
