Ok the questioning scene between Bai Hui and Pang Hongmei was very cool.

Yes, both leads have brought the characters to life so you enjoy their separate scenes as well as their joint scenes. This is how a show should be. I like watching PHM investigating things just as much as I like JDY working to build the sub.

It is😭 I’m so sad. I really liked watching these two, regardless of if they were together or not. In fact the whole cast is great. They really brought life to the characters and show. This is honestly the most entertaining Cdrama I have watched in the last 2 years.

Haha yup she turned 33 this month! She and LXY are the same age actually. I’m not sure why she looks so young. She actually looks younger now than she did when she was younger lol. They say that may be why Pang Hongmei is so popular. She’s fierce but she’s also a little bit cute. She’s been trying out more mature makeup lately so she looks a bit older.

Costume dramas can be both serious and idol dramas. This commenter is saying they should play serious costume dramas. Serious costume dramas usually have better production and plot. Examples are Serenade of Peaceful
Joy, Story of Minglan, Royal Nirvana or Rise of the Phoenixes.

Unfortunately fantasy isn’t considered “serious” most of the time. Some actors won’t even touch it. This doesn’t mean they can’t do a good job but what this commenter is saying is they both deserve better and these type of shows are considered better.

I can understand what they’ve said. It’s essentially a compliment. They’re basically saying their acting skills are too good to be stuck in idol dramas which are considered the lowest level show and have questionable quality lately. The type of shows they’ve recommended are for better actors and are hard to get in to and it’s what a lot of traffic would like to transform to but not many have been as successful as these two.

The pace has picked up. Pieces are starting to come together. Tomorrow looks like it’s going to be a wild ride but I kinda don’t want Yangmei to end😭

I can kinda get why they stick her with 95s but I think older undiscovered 90s would better a better route. Unless the 95s look older like her costar from GBMP, they feel too boyish to give safe, secure combo that suits her delicate looks.

I didn’t know they were the same age! I hope she can work more with actors her age. I feel like she has more chemistry with them and if she works with the hidden 90s actors like in this show, the pairings are really good.
