Giving him the title of a guest role is actually a mark of respect. It’s basically saying his ranking as an actor is too high to be a support role and he’s doing the show a favour by joining the cast.
If you want explicit romance, this won’t be a show you enjoy. The showrunners have already advertised that there will not be an overly emotional romantic line so all the romance is very subtle. This show is good for viewers who are sick of romance getting in the way of the plot though.

They’re definitely confused. If they understood good acting, they would understand the character settings will affect the emotional outputs. PHM is not going to be a facial character in the big scenes like people expect. She’s too used to wearing a mask. Her emotions are mostly physical, in the actions that she takes or body language she can’t suppress. If the actress didn’t have talent none of the badass, cute, or unguarded scenes would work. And Ji Danyang is not an easy role either. He is basically playing a silly white sweet but he has to be able to give a role, mostly associated with women, a sense of masculinity and heterosexual chemistry while at the same time keeping the “cute” characteristics charming and believable for a man. Bai Hu’s type of character, which is expressive, is easier for the audience to read and understand visually. Her role is still challenging though because she basically has to play multiple personalities at the same time. All in all though, I think it’s a show that really challenged all the young leads but they’re all doing a great job. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t be able to keep up with the older actors but there is no disharmony. Edit: I also got to add the eyebrows they drew on PHM really affect her expression too. When they went to buy supplies for the first time, her brows were pretty natural and she was super expressive.

Welcome to the spy hunting team😆She doesn’t have as many haters as some actresses but this is really the first time I’ve seen something like this for her. Her other shows have some problems so I can understand the scores for them but this show really doesn’t deserve anything lower than an 8. I’ll also add that the actor is sometimes targeted too.
