Haha, NYX is pretty much trash in the book it’s true. I actually love the book because of Jiman’s resilience in the face of all the crap that went on. I actually didn’t care too much about the romance but I loved reading NYX essentially on his knees for her.
If this event doesn’t affect things too much I don’t think Xiao Feng will ever go away because it’s pretty much a classic role at this point. Perhaps one of the most classic roles of the 90s cohort. It’s true when all types of passerby say she has a special existence. Yesterday, even when PXR fans were scolding people for keeping her trapped in the role, they stopped to gush over this one really beautiful post of Xiao Feng pictures😂 Hit or not, this show has been pretty joyful for fans(except the styling😩) I’m glad it could get PXR out of the Youku GMP deathspiral and properly give us a new female goose. Wish your fav more and more success too. No one should be trapped in the East Palace forever.
Yeah, I feel aggrieved for them on that but otherwise I try to stay away from that corner of the world as much as I can. The C-net GMP fandom is really strange and sometimes I feel ungrateful and one of the reasons things are so vicious between the two fandoms. It’s one of the reasons I hoped their new show would be a hit, so GMP wouldn’t tie the two together so much. I originally followed both right after GMP. They’re definitely good ones in that person’s fandom but I’ve seen too many bad ones and seen too much of the bs they pull to want anything to do with it anymore.

Book fan here. I actually like this drama better than the book. It’s like they took out all the unpleasant bits and kept the good bits - the early squabbling, Jiman as a chaos gremlin, Jiman after the 💰, NYX falling in love first and then chasing after Jiman.

I actually like this sort of thing it is a bit of satire of the love at first sight trope and it reminds me of Royal Nirvana. Because she’s met NYX warts and all, there’s no Prince Charming to him. She likes him as a real person not as a dream. Even better she has her own money so if he never came correct, she never would have to stay with him either.

I think it’s fine to comment. People will feel how they feel. She was just responding in a playful way to an often repeated line, and happened to use that person’s tweet. If I had to hear or see how I had lost my beauty for 4 years, I’m not sure my answer would be so polite😂 Edit: As for the difference, it’s makeup, filters, and lighting. For the Xizhou arc she was pretty thin too. She actually looks best in natural sunlight with a decent light engineering and less filter. She shot To Our Dreamland of Ice right after this and looks great but that Director also had her in a lot of natural light with decent light engineering and little filter.
Maybe it’s because I write and study storytelling but I don’t find the plot difficult. It just seems that the “plot holes” are mini mysteries that the screenwriter is slowly revealing. I just saw a still that probably explains how Ji Man was mistaken.
If PXR fans could find the answer to this question, life would be 1000x easier. I really dislike that person and their fans but I even prayed their newest show would be a hit so they would leave PXR alone. Instead their fans and fans of their new costar have teamed up. It’s so annoying😩 I’m looking at a lot of the scolding posts likes and I keep seeing fans from those two on the list, sometimes the same fans on multiple posts.
