Still figuring out how to add photos in the gallery. 😅 at long last people can see her real beauty. The profile…
For the gallery, you have to tag photos from the drama photo gallery. For the feed, it’s photos posted to the feed that are tagged to her. I also want to change her profile photo too😅.
I don’t fully understand it either 😅but it seems like there is a difference like although Yehua is an offshoot of Huanrui, it’s independent in some ways. The difference in companies kept being pointed out when talking about the breakup dramas of her former colleague so I think it must be something like this. I don’t think any of Xiao Ran’s two dramas are actually Huanrui although they have Huanrui stars.
Do the capitalists even realize that this drama is a hit because of the actors, not the script? Even with such…
A second season doesn't necessarily mean it’s the same characters. It could be the same world. Just like with this drama and Painted Skin fans, it bringout the curious. And enormous popularity may not be the point so much as being seen as a kingmaker. GJM has his own fanbase and his own level of recognition. He needs leads with a large enough and active fanbase or big enough backing to do the data and spend but maybe he wants more control over casting . VoS feels like an experiment, as if he wanted to test the formula for creating a hit character and/or a star. Some people are crying plagiarism and copying but it’s actually a sort of creative evolution. He ditched what didn’t do well in FoF and kept and refined what did do well. If he can create enough stars, then he can choose who he likes and write about what he wants much more easily and probably face less scolding too.
No Romance tag?Does it mean the female lead won't need to be saved multiple times by the ML, like the one in Princess…
Weakening a FL is a common problem in female centric romantic works. It’s usually to highlight or boost the ML to make him more appealing to the audience. Thankfully, this show is a serious historical drama and not a romance, meaning it has obligations of higher quality storytelling and accurate history. If the FL is weakened to the point that it distorts history, it will probably be reported to the authorities.
I'm not surprised by the S2 rumors but from what I read it's only a mention that they are working on it, nothing…
Tbh, I can’t see JJY, CDL, or ZSX coming back. GJM has played CDL and ZSX too many times. Out of the mains it would probably be just TJR, who is his artist.
The premise uses the pronoun "He" for Tao Yao's character, is this gonna be gender-swapped? Does that…
I think there will be a female Tao Yao. I think it’s just a question of whether the story will revolve around her, revolve around her in name but actually revolves around someone else, or if her role is reduced to a support role. In the current climate, gender swapping the female lead into a male character seems like asking for a flop. It will definitely anger the book/anime fans who form part of the potential market.
The story lost all its steam since the time rewind thing was introduced, I swear every episode is like 75%-100%…
I finished it to get closure. I knew it wouldn’t connect starting it but I stayed til the end to understand/observe GJM’s storytelling formula. It’s quite interesting to see what he’s done (though he gets scolded for it 😂).
If Peng Xiaoran didn't talk about this drama, we never would have gotten any updates. I'm really having negative…
This is true. There was hype for Love and Crown but it had died down by the time it aired. And tbh, I feel it only aired when it did because Youku wanted to capitalise on the popularity of Mu Yumo. But I’ve heard there’s other dramas by the same company that haven’t aired yet.
Today no content was released. None of the actors attended the iQIYI World Conference. Only the drama production…
Xiao Ran is a really positive and optimistic person. The production team is lucky to have her. I heard about the rumours but I’m still taking a wait and see approach.
I really hope this drama does her justice. She’s been promoting it for so long, basically any opportunity she…
I hope it’s successful too. ZYC promotes it as well. I don’t mind the lack of promotion if the show is good quality because viewers will come to watch it if it’s good. I’m just worried about the quality of the plot and if they’ll try to sideline Feng Miao Jun like they did Cangcang in Love and Crown.
Zheng Yecheng is her costar and a very good actor. He’s an actual martial artist too so as long as they’re filmed well, his fight scenes should be good. Dong Sicheng and Yang Xizi are playing the second couple and have been in a few dramas as well. I think are considered newcomers. I haven’t watched their works but I heard they’re promising talents.
I keep coming back to this show because of Cangcang. She might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I adore her. To me she’s such a tragic character. She’s forced to marry, gets used as a pawn by her husband and father, and is basically kept in the dark by everyone for most of the show but she usually tries to do the right thing according to what and how much she knows (which logically and historically would be protecting her family and its interests). It’s just a shame that the screenwriter took what is actually a good trait and made it controversial by insisting Cangcang’s family be villains. It shut down some of the complexity of her character and the overall story. Taking the highlights of Cangcang and grafting them onto other characters also didn’t do the character justice. In the book, it was Cangcang who found Doctor Li when Xiao Huan fell ill in Xinjiang. And rather than the villain coup storyline with Du Tingxin, she and the Second Prince ruled the country and maintained stability while Xiao Huan was away dealing with the Lingbi sect. Unfortunately, the screenwriter sidelined Cangcang and her life becomes suffocating once she enters the palace. The author ended up angry at Cangcang’s seeming lack of devotion and obedience to Xiao Huan but I think how the script sidelined and vilified Cangcang was the bigger problem.
