I canβt believe Reba has another drama with this platform . Praying she never takes another youku drama. What…
Her other drama might not be launched in same manner... I've seen this happen with a few other dramas, but usually with smaller productions. First time with such big names in the lead roles and no Eng subs. My bet is that Youku sold the intl telecast rights to another platform. This is quite surprising if that is the case, because dramas that is anticipated to have huge following overseas, the platform would want to keep the pool of viewers to itself....
There's still some exaggeration: irl the portraits accuracy are around 60~80% and not so artistically drawn like the way Shen Yi does it. Such profilers draw 30 face portraits daily to keep their skills sharp (like pick a random face in a random image or in the streets and draw), even when there is no police case.
Yeahhhh!!! You rarely watch contemporary cdramas, glad you decide to give this a try. I'm at ep 12, which ep are…
It doesn't show every loop π some of the loops are only mentioned in dialogues, especially the initial part, like in ep 1 we start with FL already in loop 4 or 5. Ah, we'll have to do dm if want to discuss more, going off-topic

Okay! I really like the storytelling in this and Reset. Yes, Reset takes more than 10 loops to finally end. But it does it better than Edge of Tomorrow, etc. We like different things π

Eps 10, 11 and onwards get really heavy... Quite surprise how this passed censorship when the key detail in The Long Night had to be changed. I'm glad they have loosened up the rules to allow such hard stories to be told. We have Reset at the beginning of the year, then Shining for One Thing and now Under the Skin. Contemporary cdramas are roaring like the tiger this year! Lol
Okay, folks! I used to be one of the skeptical viewers watching this drama (and from earlier comments, there are many of us), that it is not possible for Shen Yi to be able to do such accurate portraits of human faces. So someone did a research and, it is actually possible... There are real life police profilers and portrait artists in China Police Force who have attempted everything that Shen Yi is seen doing in the drama. This video is in Chinese without subtitles, but you can still see the images. There are several scenes of face portraits placed next to the real life victims/criminal, and they are quite accurate. There is even a real case in America, where they invited one of the profilers to assist in identifying a criminal from a very blur image of the criminal in a car taken from CCTV cam. And he managed to draw the criminal which helped police to ID the man and arrest him..... And there was a real case of skeleton recovered, where the profiler drew the face and the victim's brother recognized that as his missing brother...... and the part about drawing the adult faces base on children photos? Have helped reuniting several missing children who were kidnapped.... https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1cY41137rb?share_source=copy_web
Actually not true.... Shen Yi wasn't "sketching in the streets", and they get the number of years wrong in the description.... This isn't the first time streaming platform give inaccurate synopsis, happens very often especially when the description gets too lengthy. I sometimes wonder if that was the original script and one writing the synopsis didn't receive the final copy
I'm liking this show quite a bit, but I'm confused about one thing. In the case in episode five with the girls,…
I am quite fascinated with the psychology aspects in ep 5: Xiaoxuan loves her for an image that she made up about her, which Lanxin is not happy with because Xiaoxuan's image of her is not the real her. Lanxin is disappointed with how Xiaoxuan sees her, she thought Xiaoxuan is a true friend.... So she tries to assert her real self with Xiaoxuan but that contradicts with how Xiaoxuan wish to see her as. Both are quite self-centered at that age, typical teenage self-centeredness....
Xiao Zhan's wig is very ugly in this drama. The ugliest I've ever seen which is ironic because this drama is supposedly…
I'm with you on this.... I think the wig is alright. His character is supposed to be mentor/teacher. The wig suits the character. If it could have a few strands of long fringe that would have been nice... Without fringe, is also alright

I think you have made your point by posting the same comment repeatedly. If you feel his costume is that ugly and need to complain somewhere, you can always post that at the drama weibo page. That might reach the production team... Weibo has an international version which is easy to create user account, and you can use lang translate apps if you cannot understand chinese. Or get a Tencent subscription and complain there. Thanks
I LOVE IT!! If you are not a book fan, you should like it... Becos the scriptwriter changed quite a lot of details. But the scriptwriter has given a version of story that has everything we want in a drama-- family issues, comedy, romantic love, mystery & suspense, action (the fist fight scenes are quite well chereographed), literature & history (I do struggle with some of the references π no ideal what they were talking in some parts)... Oh, oh, it even has comic animations! And this is one of the best comic shots I've seen in cdramas (much better than in The Long Ballad). Cinematography is gorgeous with good CGI effects. Scriptwriter and Director are the same, so the execution is really consistent and good.
But ummm, Mystery of Antiques does not have Eng subs yet....
