Script is great but without the good art direction, story couldn't come alive! Agree that actors' skills do not matter much in this drama, it is the work of directors and scriptwriters who made this sooooo good!

Li Yitong (FL) has not done a silly, ditzy female role to date 😅 (she has done mainly white lotus characters) I actually wish she would do such a role 🤣 as have never seen her do stupid in a drama.... Lol, so don't worry, this FL should be smart and independent

Suspect that Huanyu might have done 3 (or more) dramas with the same set and costume designers. The quality and esthetics looks very similar with Court Lady and Song of Youth which are released earlier this year. They are very clever though, as I've seen the other 2 dramas and can't spot similarities in the background and settings. The only similarity I've spotted so far is the stone bridge, it made an appearance in Song of Youth too.

Without knowledge of Xie Hang's parents 😅. Between the 2 FLs, I prefer Xie Hang. In the 5 years since she first met XC, she has developed so much and gotten so independent!! Although acting wise the actress should have depicted Xie Hang differently in the later part.... Should show some change in her instead of portraying the character in the same manner

Romance is so necessary in this \o/. Ep 13 or 14 was really good, didn't expect this drama to have one of the best depictions on romance

Huh? This is 36 eps. Drama has not completed airing yet. The finale date of 11 Oct is incorrect. When drama release, 11 Oct was for members who buy vvip release, but China regulations have changed and vvip track is cancelled. Finale date should be 13 Oct.

I just watched ep 16. Wow, just wow. This director should do more romance stories. In most romance dramas, it is 2 beautiful people acting out a love story, and art direction focus on perfect lighting, angles to make the scenes beautiful (eg: You Are My Glory). But here.... I dun understand cinematography, so I'm not sure what is it exactly but the scenes that we get in this drama, they invoked feelings.... It doesn't feel like acting. It feels realistic. I know that sounds weird becos this is a fantasy plot....... The only issue that I'm having is with the dialogues, it is a bit too cheesy at times.

I'm at ep 25 and wow!! I have been suspicious of XC's background and finally it is revealed. Makes so much sense now! His flamboyant character, why he was attracted to the quiet and meek XH... Wasn't expecting slice-of-life in this drama but glad it is turning out this way. Awesome acting by the cast 👏👏

I have the same issues around ep 8 to 12.... disappointed it does not focus more on computing and business. But the actors did a really good job here... so I continue. This is more slice-of-life and romance.

Lol, I think you need to have spent a few years in chinese culture to appreciate this drama (knowledge in chinese pop music, know that most chinese girls spent their early teen years writing fanfic, etc). And in some of the hilarious scenes, it hides deeper meanings. This is actually a drama that requires to pay attention to details, else you will miss out on the Easter eggs...

Youku (original platform) has it but need membership. DramaCool has it too, but with subs only until ep 7, raw is until 14
