Oh Teenage Textbook... I read the book about 30 years ago!
Hahaha, yes, there's no smartphones back then, the drama updated a bunch of stuffs π I just remembered I have seen Tay Ping Hui recently actually, watched Legend of the Condor Heroes 2017 earlier this year and surprised to see him as Ganghis Khan. He made a good Ganghis Khan too

This is loosely base on The Teenage Textbook!! I enjoyed watching, esp Tay Ping Hui's mid-life crisis part π. Haven't watched him in anything for a long while and his acting is really quite good here.
I saw a few eps of My Star Bride earlier but as it was airing, have put it aside waiting for all eps to be released.... Thanks for the reminder π For those who enjoyed it, if you like youth dramas, do check out Teenage Textbook https://youtu.be/kZ5MkCav8h4. This is a fun watch.
Absolutely. I have only watched the first episode and the opening is unmistakably Hunglou Meng but there will…
Tbh, ep 1 is weird. The comedy is fun but feel kinda out of place, the entire ep feels weird. But I love the cinematography and Jin Chen!! So I stuck with it and it is an interesting watch :). I do have a fear that middle part might be full of miscommunications and misunderstandings, and we might be seeing a few characters who seem righteous turn evil... Hoping the script would prove me wrong.
I agree. He looks very young and immature compare to the FL. He looks and acts like the annoying brother, not…
He will mature and grow smarter. I like that the script did not make him super smart and successful instantly, but allow him to make mistakes and develop.

Yeahhhh you are watching this \o/ Yup, setup and some characters resemble Dream of Red Mansion. If you can look beyond that, this drama has a lot to offer. For one thing the plot has been unpredictable, I thought it would be heading right and it went left ^^"
π³... Did we watch the same fan meet at WeTV? Yang Yang and Dilraba were gorgeous on stage, but Yang Yang looked…
Sigh... becos the last live fan meet I watched was Rattan, and Zhang Bin Bin and Jing Tian's interactions were sizzling and teasing, I was expecting similar, but this was a snooze....
Iβm seriously trying to stop myself from crossing the line and ship them in rl but the fan meet makes it harder…
π³... Did we watch the same fan meet at WeTV? Yang Yang and Dilraba were gorgeous on stage, but Yang Yang looked quite tired or bored, while Dilraba was her charming self and trying to sizzle up the chemistry but failing.... This is probably one of the most boring fan meets I've seen.... Some say becos both have big fan bases and were playing it safe π
This is like an updated version of You Have Got Mail β€οΈ. You Are My Glory is a very sweet, easy to watch romance π 2 gorgeous leads in very contemporary, beautiful settings π
I want to talk about the "botched ending", it is not botched at all! Imho I think it is very creative (and sad),…
Think about it, the entire last episode do not make sense-- 1) If 2 companies submit the exact same design for tender, why would the 2nd submission be accepted?? That company would have been called out for copying! Yet she won the tender? 2) How could Shao Mingzhe spoke to the Bank on behalf of Hong Yuan? He did not have such right. 3) Up until ep 39, the situation was such that it is impossible for reconciliation between Xiang An and Su Mo... 4) That wedding scene. Remember Xia Ran Ran had dreamt a similar sequence earlier? And I can't see how Shao Ming Zhe would ever agree to dress in full white like a prince in fairytale.
Throughout the drama, Xia Ran Ran occasionally talks to herself and have fantastical daydreams. So that ending is probably her fantasy, her wish of what could be. The real ending is up to our own interpretation.... I would say drama is an OE (open ending).
If we really look at Xia Ran Ran, tbh, anyone in her position would have gone mad. It is really a lot of crazy stuffs to happen to one person.
