Japan government has always hold a different view on their involvement in WW2 from the rest of the world... even their school history text teaches differently (eg: they deny comfort women existence). And every year, their ministers pay respects at the Yasukuni Shrine to remember the martyrs who had sacrificed themselves for the country....
China gov has always been against that and since decades have requested Japan gov to apologize for what happened, for the atrocities that their ancestors did. Not just China, South Korea too have been making the same request.
So for a famous person (who is Chinese or Korean) to visit Yasukuni Shrine and take pictures as if it is a regular sightseeing location and post online....
