Yang Chaoyue is still a young actress, her acting skills are not as good as Zheng Yecheng.... But a more experienced actress might be old for the role. Sigh.
I agree with every casting person except Dilraba. She is not that good of an actress nor has the charisma or energetic…
Um.... For me the issue is not on acting ability, but the image. Dilraba is too gorgeous and sweet looking for Harmoine, need an actress who has a natural arrogant or shrewdness air to her. So for me Zhao Lusi is not suitable too (haven't seen Seven Tan's dramas, can't comment). I like Bai Lu or Wu Jinyan for Harmoine.

Suggest you skip Court Lady.... the drama suffers from messy script and editing, if you do watch it, can consider stopping around ep 30 -_- Do check out Legend of the Condor Heroes (2017 ver). She is one of the best Huang Rong (as compared with her predecessors)!! She also did her own fights and stunts in the drama. https://youtu.be/Xkc2yIbydzY If you do not mind a very tragic (but beautiful) story, can watch Royal Nirvana, that is one of her best acting performance, and Luo Jin (the ML) has wonderful on-screen chemistry with her. I think he is her best on-screen lover in all her dramas.

I have seen the beginning eps of this season and it is highly recommended that you watch S1 and S2 first. Else why Tan'er and Empress look the same would be lost on you.... That part is quite confusing, as it ties back to the plots in S1 and S2
