I believe the whole cast dubbed themselves. Qin Lan said at the cast interview, she was having some vocal cord problems at the recording and could only utilized about 70% of her voice. Which explains why she sounded soft and husky throughout this drama.... Dylan dubbed himself too.

So her team rushed and setup a dentist appointment at 12:07am (a part of the dialogues here is praising the medical professionals). Unfortunately that false tooth didn't last, and she had to redo it 2 times more 🥲 It apparently came loose while shooting the show and Li Yitong said she had to lightly smile and refrain from talking for a part of the show 😅. http://b23.tv/20Wmk5

Er-- I watched Fearless Whispers last year. It is more focused on the ML's character development and slice-of-life of the middle class in Old Shanghai, than espionage. BUT that doesn't make it a bad drama! It is on Douban's Top 10 Dramas of 2020 and definitely deserved its place in the list. Just that it is more brilliant as a slice-of-life drama, than for spy and espionage.

Wang Duo did brilliantly in Bloody Romance. Unfortunately he was so good, he sort of became typecast in such roles (watch him in Yin Yang Master movie yet?). Li Yitong's image is also more versatile than Wang Duo. Sadly, even Qu Chuxiao (Chang'an) has gotten more roles than Wang Duo..... Maybe Wang Duo's manager is not doing sufficient marketing for him?
