OMFG.... I was expecting something innocent and sweet becos of how he is, but he went for a line that I've never heard in a love confession! It's the kind of line that irl, if a boy says that to you, even if you have feelings for him, you would be, like, low-key think he's a creep (and if you have no feelings for the guy, you'd probably slap him...). So, looking forward to read the subs for this part-- will it be translated into the words I think of or will they use something else?

Now that you mention it, maybe, kind of. FL falling in love with ML is logical (he is so attentive and sweet), but how ML falls for her (the initial part) is a tad odd.... Either he is attracted to being abused or Stockholm syndrome (even FL kind of said that).

I'm finally at ep 37!!! Lol drama was great but 40 eps really too long, the "I love you but I can't be with you" drag for too long. Shi Fei Xian should have died in that fire.... and drama could have concluded within 30 eps :/
