EP 3 preview (WeTV VIP) thoughts:

It seems that the story is about to gradually getting more intense. Phu is going to be more jealous at Party and Nan’s interactions.

I think that this slowly will push Phu to realise that if he has something he desires (to be with Nan), then he has to do something about it.

That ‘saviour’ moment when Phu turned up at Nan’s company meeting (maybe as a model?), is perhaps part of Phu trying to get closer to Nan, and outcompete Party.

(Note: from some of the deleted scenes, I think Phu is always insecure of losing Nan, and hence, the more jealous one 😁)

Bad Buddy started with 130M after 10 days, and doubled its views in a year. I am sure My School President will gain more viewers and views over time too! :D

And Our Song OST has surpassed 10 million views as of last week!

Actually it was hinted in BB last episode that the family no longer opposed their relationship. It's well worth watching the series, I assure you.

Regarding numbers and view counts, while I think it doesn't matter much, it's important that we support My School President more. 65 million a week after finale is a good performance for Gemini Fourth and team in their debut as main stars.

Comparable and actually quite satisfactory views wise (exceeding many other recent GMMTV BL series), better even than Never Let Me Go that concurrently aired with MSP (which I would argue that was due to the genre, which disadvantaged it in views like the earlier Not Me in 2021-2022)

Some recent BL series get immense views while having bad plot and storyline, acting and others, and I am sure we all can agree that MSP is so much better in quality. Unfortunately, for the production company like GMMTV, views translate to income, and hence, we need to support great series like MSP more!

(To give them the message that they should pay attention to the quality of the series, the story, and make something like My School President and some other stellar BL series out there in the future)

I don't think Deena/Dina was in The Promise so far either. And since you watched that prequel, I'm sure you knew that Phu already told her how he loved Nan but did not dare to confess, and she told him that he should take the chance to do so.

I believe that is as high as any BL series can ever get in MDL. Only MSP and Bad Buddy in my memory so far, ever got that rating.

Actually I disagree with the negative comments on The Promise EP 1 and 2. In fact those two episodes were great, and I enjoyed the series so far.

I am quite sure in my belief that they will make us enjoy the ride through the next eight episodes. Never judge too early.

Deena/Dina story was during the last years of Nan and Phu in university, which happened in the prologue episode. That was like 10 years before the present day story in EP 1 and 2 of The Promise.

It will be good to watch the prequel to have better insight of the story.

But look at the series as a more wholesome story, as each of the prequel episodes focus on Nan and Phu's respective viewpoints and background story, so the feel may be different at first.

The way Phu looked at Nan... he's fallen in love with him (slowly) since when they were still young.

Love that version of the OST played in the bar so much, especially the flashbacks part!
