Regarding that destroyed pavilion... Does anyone notice that they come from Architecture and Engineering?
(A lot of symbolism in each episodes so far, just like the smiley and sad faces in Pran's room. Please pay attention to them!)
Architects cannot build something without people who knows how to actually build them from the parts (Engineers), while Engineers cannot build something properly without guidance from Architects to design for them.
They have to work together to rebuild that pavilion, and perhaps, stop being enemies.
I know this is generalisation, as Engineers know how to design too. But I think it's quite a nice touch from the director and production team to weave in this plot to reconcile the two groups.
Can someone please explain to me how was Pat responsible for Pran's transfer?
I think most likely Pran's parents (especially the mother) isn't happy that Pran was associating with Pat, less still performing together with him.
There is misunderstanding between the two families, just like in the original novel. So perhaps, Pran's parents decided to transfer Pran away from Pat to keep him away from the latter.
Alternative possibility:
If you watch the scene carefully, it's quite obvious that Pran was singing that song for Pat (He might have liked Pat since that early on), but maybe his parents noticed and wanted to keep him away.
EP 2 was great! Not to spoil too much, but it has just the right amount of light moments to make us laugh without feeling cheesy.
At the same time, we got to learn more about both main characters' backstory, and see the development in their relationship! Plus some sad and heavy moments too (scenes in Pat's bedroom and the past high school time).
OMG that preview for EP 3. I can't wait for next Friday! This is actually the first series in which I am watching…
It seems that they are moving closer to relationship in EP 3!
And in a way, the director did bring some sort of separation (as per novel) but instead of after, it happened before (when Pran was transferred out of his high school because of Pat - probably because Pran's parents found out that he's performing with Pat).
I just read a summary of the novel this drama is based on, am not sure am ready for the angst, I was so surprised…
The series may not fully follow the novel's storyline, as some parts had been altered (added or removed). The novel was great though, and I'm sure the series version will be great too!

(It's not in the original novel)
But as I said, the fighting most likely will cease soon, by the next episode latest (EP 3).
Great point of view. I agree with you. That shows both Pat and Pran, that they can rebuild everything together, if they want to.

But I don't think they're going to make the parents so horrible this time round. That's what I think.

Hope this won't happen again later!
This is actually the first series in which I am watching live as it premieres, part by part, every episode.
Them rebuilding that broken pavilion is symbolic of repairing that broken relationship between the Engineering and Architecture groups.
