hey! i've started watching and the beginning was really cool, i admit. but now i'm stuck in the middle of episode…
It gets so much better. Trust me. This is my favorite Kdrama of all time. After you're done watching this show, it will make you re-think everything you know about Kdramas. You might actually think DOTS, W, Healer and other top rated kdramas are worthless when you're done with this
Imma watch, but "Michael" and "Rachel" better have that same iconic chem.
I don't want to spoil you that much so here goes: I've only seen glimpses of it, but they look adorable when do end up in a scene together. I feel like this kdrama will do them justice
I think Strong Woman is one of the most overrated dramas of all time. I think you, like many other kdrama fans, are just hypnotized to thinking the drama is good because of the sizzling chemistry between the 3 leads. Their amazing acting covered a lot of holes for the stupid plot/story and stupid story progression of the show.
I can agree with the next two because DoTS was fully pre-produced for a really long time (almost 2 years?) and in that time frame, pre-produced dramas haven't had a major breakthrough yet (you can argue cheese in the trap but mehhh I dont consider that as a breakthrough).
While You Were Sleeping probably deserved the most recognition just because we all assumed with prejudice that Suzy was gonna ruin the show. And she didn't. She actually did really well (her one and only nod from me as an actress; all her other roles in other dramas were abyssmal). No matter how much you deny it, someway somehow, you questioned why Suzy was paired with a once-in-a-life-time-gem in Lee Jong Suk, and that maybe you thought Lee Jong Suk wasn't a chemistry-fairy and a good picker of scripts after all. In my personal opinion, I wouldn't change Suzy for another actress in WYWS, just because she gave her haters a slap on their faces; not enough to be categorized as amazing, but good enough to be praised. Also, Jung Hae In carried the fuck out of this show. Made girls drop waterfalls everywhere with his adorableness.
I swear, every time I wake up, the air date gets pushed back. Sometimes, I think it's better not to wake up cause it might actually air while I'm sleeping, then I can just watch it from my grave
Excluding my fondness of legal dramas (Both American and Korean dramas alike), I'm really enjoying this show. This is my favorite currently airing drama at the moment (ok maybe a little biased), and for good reason! Park Hyung Sik is killing it. He's giving the Mike Ross character a different take, but an equally satisfying smoothness in his portrayal.
So, in your opinion we must not ask developing a comment, just ignore it them. Example, "i don't like X" --"OK".…
I swear I'm so lost with your english =)) and for the record, I'm half spanish, quarter filipino, and quarter korean, who lives in Quebec. I have no relation in any way to Trump, I just used him as an example so why are you telling me that I deserve to be ruled by him? Also, I don't even know why you don't understand passiveness. If you want to counter attack every hate comment here, then be my guest. Be the best keyboard warrior in this website. Tell them how good you hink this drama is, and why they are wrong for hating it. Viva La France Mounsieur
Gonna have to drop this one. I can agree that the acting is good and there are some cute moments, but the pacing…
It's a fucking melodrama. Have you seen a melodrama which is fast-paced? The Innocent man, Tomorrow With you, Shining Inheritance, My Ajhussi... All those shows are just as slow paced as this one.
Melodramas focus on emotions and different personalities clashing rather than making a unique plot to make the show revolve. I get that most people want a faster pace but I just thought you shoud know that you signed up for a melodrama without probably knowing what a melodrama is.
So, in your opinion we must not ask developing a comment, just ignore it them. Example, "i don't like X" --"OK".…
If you want more examples of what I'm pertaining to, try speaking to a trump supporter. We all know Trump is utter bullshit, and he isn't even hypothetically qualified to be the president of the USA. Can you convince a trump supporter that he is supporting the wrong person?
Probably not. Not because you're wrong, but because he just won't take what you're saying seriously. I hope you get what I'm trying to say

I had to read your reply a couple more times than usual cause your english isn't that well, but i do get your point. What I'm just trying to say is it's near impossible to convince someone who doesn't like the drama to admit that the drama is good (and vice versa). Have you seen an instance here where someone posted a hate comment, and then after he gets replies from other users, he admitted defeat and changed his mind? No. It'll just start endless bickering. Don't get me wrong, I like this drama as well. I just don't like the fact that some fans are over-justifying why the drama is good to others.
Just caught up with the drama, and while I'm not buying any of the melancholic vibes this show keeps on throwing at my face, I must say that it's still honestly soothing. Not my cup of tea, but I'll keep drinking. Who knows, maybe it'll grow on me after some time.
Also, I just want to point out that everyone here has their own opinion. Whenever a negative comment comes up, the avengers suddenly show up and justify why this show is 'good'. No one needs to justify why they like/dislike something. It's like questioning someone why they like their coffee iced, just because you like your's hot.
I don't see many people here who are familiar with the work this is based on, so I would like your opinion on…
It's a modern take of the french novel, but it lacked a lot of elements from the original. I personally watched the entire series because of my unexpected fondness of Kim Min Jae, and the chemistry between Woo Do Hwan and Joy. If you're asking if you'd enjoy it with the basis of the french novel in mind, I'd say no; it's a bad adaptation. The story progressed and ended really different
Stop reviewing airing dramas... gets on my nerves...
Sameeeeee. Imagine if the writers saw all these quick assumptions from fans and decided to fuck us over by killing both leads. Would you still like the drama?
Will make a review on this show after it ends; what I liked and didn't like and how I thought of all the other categories. I just want to address the misconception of people that Kwon Shi Hyun is the lone 'seducer' in this series.
The Great Seducer title is the adapted translation from the original french title "les liaisons dangereuses", which if directly translated to english means "dangerous connections" (taking up European studies, minoring in french and german. I hope I translated correctly). Maybe I'm a few pages ahead of all the people here who only knew about the story from this kdrama, but to sum up a few things from the original story, 'temptation' was just a factor of the bigger motive of the amoral story, which is to be as selfish as possible for your own preference. In the original story, everyone either forced their way to get what they want, deceived others by 'seducing' them, or became the victim of others' manipulation.
I personally feel putting 'seduction' from the adapted title misleads the viewers to think that the story revolved around temptation when it was just a factor of a bigger picture. Even the american movie remake was titled 'Cruel Intentions' and while the story there progressed in its own way, it retained a lot of key elements from the original story. I saw a lot of key elements of the original story in this adaptation as well, that's the reason why I can appreciate it. However, I'm left to ponder as why they chose a title with the word 'seduction'
Long story short, the original french story is a tragic mess; everyone either dies, becomes crazy, or becomes isolated. I doubt this korean adaption will go anywhere near that especially since most kdramas are cliched to end happily. Seeing that it still has the 'tragic' tag, I feel like a possible ending of this drama is everyone gets to live normally and apart form one another. That's the most 'tragic' ending I can think of in a cliched Kdrama way
People said the same thing about Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun and look how that drama turned out
