Once Mei Zhuyu admitted his love for Wu Zhen, the floodgates that had so carefully controlled his emotions and ability to experience life were destroyed. Even before that, it became apparent that her life was more important than his lifelong desire for revenge.

After confessing his feelings, he told (actually, it was a warning) her she could never abandon him.

Finding out what was wrong with Wu Zhen and helping her was certainly worth risking a demon's life. He did risk his own life for her more than once.

So, no, there was no sudden heel turn in Mei Zhuyu's character. It was bottled up and kept under control until she introduced him to "this messy life."

I misspoke. I should have said licensing. Wouldn't the NRTA assess the dubbing before granting a license?

I meant, why is Huanyu supplying photos taken on the set of Eight Hundred? Except for repping Xu Kai, they were not involved and gave their artist very little promotional support.

It rubs me the wrong way, like they're trying to garner some unearned credit.
