Coming here to correct things since people like spreading something that is not true. The leads DO NOT like to pick sad endings for their dramas.

RJL has 19 aired dramas with 12 Happy Endings and only 5 Sad Endings.
PXR has 8 aired dramas with 6 Happy Endings and only 2 Sad Endings.

The sad ending for this drama is strictly the writer's fault. Just look at her previous dramas.

Spending 1 year where he saved her multiple times and where they both share the same sense of justice is not 'crush'. Thats why PXR is excellent at portraying that conflicts on how much she is in love with Xiao Huan despite how much he is hurting her. The nuance of her acting perfectly show this on how she always smile for him when she is supposed to hate him. How her automatic response to him is saving him, helping him, facing dangerous things for him, cried for him even when she think he is only using her. That is love where your passion/love defy your logic and made you blind.

I know. Thats why everytime I see those comments, I will correct them.

- He has 19 dramas, 12 with Happy Endings & 5 with Sad Endings. Thus he is not a King of Bad Endings.
- His last kissing scene is in The Demon Hunter's Romance which is 6 months ago. If they are freaks, then we can give them more examples of his kissing scenes in all his dramas like in TBW, F&E, DE, etc.. 🙄

These are all people who didnt even watch his dramas. They cant criticize him for something else thats why they kept saying untrue stuffs like this everywhere. All you have to do is just correcting them. A few years back, its much worst. Now, those kind of comments are not that much anymore.

Dont worry. His is most famous for his costume roles so he will kept taking them. He just want to act in more serious dramas now after leaving H&R.

Twilight is indeed great, the script is really good and full of nuance. It one of my very fave RJL drama.

The Director&Writer of the drama is the one who play Brother Kuan. He knew RJL for years since he is also one of the Directors in Autumn Cicada.

Yes, they are basically supporting characters in their own dramas. Their scenes are cut so so much and they actually spent 5 months filming this.

Why its kind of story that drive people away?

The leads do not have fetish to pick SE dramas. Out of all 19 dramas of RJL, only 5 dramas with sad endings. For PXR, only 3 if I'm not mistaken.

Love & Crown is the drama that RJL forced to film by H&R before his contract ends last year. He has been taking outside projects for years that why his quality of scripts are usually impeccable. Silent Tiles and The Abyss are back to his usual script quality so you can watch both dramas. For Fate Choses You, it has the same writer as Demon Hunter Romance so the script must be excellent as well. Plus, the writer already confirmed that the drama will have a satisfying happy ending.

H&R is known to produce bad dramas like this so this is not surprising at all.

Actually, from Ep 15 to Ep 25, the drama is kind of good. The leads are happy and have lots of happy moments together. And their trust to each other lasted until the end of the drama. No more misunderstanding between them.

Isnt in Sword & Beloved both leads survived? It is still shit ending?

The other kids comes when she found him at the den. She woke up with white clothes so it meant they are intimate that night. The funny thing is, both RJL and PXR shot that scene separately so thats why you dont even see them together. That is some worst editing I have ever seen lol. They cut their scenes so much that the whole story feel disjointed.

It doesnt have to end that way. Dude has 12 dramas with happy ending.

The writer just dislike happy ending. Just see all her previous dramas. RJL is also sad with how lonely they made his character to be. Demon Hunter's Romance ending was ruined by AI when iqiyi seek advise from it.

I suggest you to watch Twilight. This kind of writing is very typical of H&R dramas. Thats why fans are so worried when RJL was forced to film this before he leave the company.

I personally believe that the drama Twilight is written from personal experience of Director&Writer who worked for H&R.

His last kissing scene is with Song Zuer in The Demon Hunter's Romance back in April 2025. He also has many kissing scenes with Dilraba in The Blue Whisper.

The episode before that, RJL only appear like 30 secs and PXR 3 minutes. It is laughable at that point

They cut the main leads' screen time since H&R want to promote their other actors with this drama. Thats why you see all side characters' romance and not the main leads'. They are indeed the biggest victims of this.

Have you watch Bloody Romance? I find it funny since she write so many awful things that her sad endings doesnt make people cry.
