Honestly as a woman, I could obviously relate more to her. Even a single unwanted touch gives us horror, so the way she suffered and survived, it was just heart wrenching yet beautiful. So, my connection lies more towards her but the fact that SY did nothing but love her selflessly while concealing all his pain in his heart. He never shared anything with anyone. No doubt SZ or DJX had no idea about his personal life.

The scene in starting. He seemed extremely hurt for not being able to wish her birthday too. We always forget that he was hurt too but that pat on her head with those eyes was beautiful.

After being able to wish and celebrate Yifan's birthday by her side, Sang Yan's heart for sure have healed a bit. That pain of being shut out of her world is now finally being healed.

I have read Manhua as well but seeing live emotions is so much better. SY's eyes while saying goodbye. You can feel his heart breaking but still he waited, maybe for her to say something more. ZRN too did a good job against an actor as experienced and good as BJT. She was not allowed to show much emotions but still you could feel how much she really loved him at that moments with that little run and red eyes.

Drunk graduation scene is there. I saw reuters and TFF hadn't really cut many scenes.

That is what I love the most. He don't really want her to acknowledge anything. He does everything because of his love for her. I feel like moving in with her was his way of giving himself a second chance with her but he still didn't forced her. He waited for her to decide.
I am not into costume dramas because I had picked a few and dropped them all.

No breakup. Their relationship has maturity though there will be a time when SY will be angry with her over something.

After a very long time, I am seeing such emotional depth in a drama. Couples in dramas feels superficial nowadays with not much emotional connection but I love how even before anything, SY and WYF have so much emotional connection. Like WYF didn't met SY for a long time and she just had to look at his back to realize it was him. SY got angry with WYF for not asking for his help but he was quick to understand too that why she didn't asked him.
Even K-dramas don't seem to offer much these days. I think SY really do have a high EQ. In hidden love too, I felt he was understanding but here, we really see how understanding he is. No doubt he was the most loved character of Zhu Yi's universe.

I don't think she would be a problem because none of the leads gives her any importance and by ep 18, they will be dating.

I don't think they will pull something like that because in the next episode, WYF will confess according to schedule. Step sis is working as an intern under SY.

After going through so much, she deserves everything he offers to her. And after yearning for her for so long, he absolutely deserves being adored. Unrequited love is quite painful and SY still didn't turned bitter.

And it still feels that we missed details when I see other person's POV over that scene. I absolutely love reading how you really interpret everything.

It makes the drama so much better. Honestly, I didn't felt extreme angst in the high school break up scene in novel as I felt while watching it. At that moment, more than WYF, my heart broke for SY because it really changed him so much as a person. And I absolutely love how we see SY's POVs over things which were not mentioned in the novel. It makes you feel so involved and gives so much depth. We didn't knew how much he really yearned for her until we watched the drama.

I am not making personal attacks. I won't ever do so. And perfection, WYF as a character is far from perfect, haunted by her past. But I personally felt you didn't liked her as a character which is completely fine but thinking she owes anything to SY is not.

What you said about SY's love is so true. This selfless kind of love he has for her is so endearing. I can't even say she is lucky to be loved like that because she too loves him a lot<3

Yes. There are so many small details which we fail to catch in our first watch. The director for sure is a genius.

In no way I wanted to offend you. Neither i am a character guru nor I am someone who can't take FL criticism but it should be done when she is wrong. You seems like someone who is just trying to pick out faults in her. I am not questioning your understand but as you are free to comment, people are also free to let you know the perspective.

Why do you think she needs to be a little bit better towards him? I don't see her coming across as rude or something. She is gentle and respectful towards him. Feelings are interpreted differently by different people. She feels undeserving and actually getting her development now.

How beautiful it was that she gave the cake piece with a smile on it to him, which indicated how she always want him to be happy and he gave it back to her, indicating as long as she is happy, he is happy too.
Sang Siblings for sure knows how to make the person they fell in love with, pursue them instead. That is a talent on its own.

I think you haven't understood her character. She is a type of person who hates bothering others. She hates being a burden on someone else and has attachment issues too. SY kept teasing her about sleepwalking, so it was obvious it affected her. He might not mean it, but we as viewers know it, not her. They are not in a relationship that she needs to discuss with him before moving out. She is on her own.
I agree he was hurt, but she had her own reasons too. And her reasons, her suffering are extreme. Dating was least of her priorities in high school. He is not hesitant to show her his feelings, but it is the fear of becoming clingy and making her uncomfortable. According to him, she didn't went to same college because she thought he was a bother to him. He is still not known to her reasons.
