What I feel is that Zhang Lurang and Duan Jiaxu, both had a bad childhood. In contrast to their love interest who were all about rainbows and sunshine. While SZ heart was broken, she was still able to handle herself well because she knew DJX saw her as nothing more than a sister of his best friend. ZLR and DJX had sufferings in life which made them what they are.

But SY had a happy and loving family. He is a second generation rich heir(his parents are rich) and was brought up with so much love and protection that he never really saw the bad side of the world. Even in the present, he really have no problem in his life. All he do is enjoy. Like even in Hidden love, he was never serious towards his career like DJX. His mother literally said that FL was the push that he started putting efforts into studies.

And moreover, they just focus on his love story while for FL, beside love story, she has to deal with her trauma to make their love a success.

The three of them have different life and SY's life really don't have much to explore except how he started bar, or his work or how he is with his family.

Yeah.

Just continuously stalks her or try to extort money but now she holds the power between them, so she is not really scared of him like before.

We need SY here to defend WYF and her choices.

Honestly, I had expected his character to be great but the little details they have added in the drama makes him greater. Like so many MLs but the yearning, heartbreak and still so much loving towards his lover. Mostly, MLs will hold grudge and will taunt the FL over it. But this man didn't taunted her even once for rejecting him especially when he always say he loves holding grudges.

Unfortunately, even relationships nowadays is all about barter. Love is not a give and take relationship and people need to understand this. What SY does for WYF is not because he want to show off his love or anything, but seeing her hurt, unhappy or sad makes him suffer too. The second he realized why she might be sleepwalking, his eyes looked so devastated. He does what he does because it makes him happy. Seeing her safe, smiling makes him happy. Hurting her will in turn hurt him too. He had waited so long for her so when she took a step in his direction, why will he push her away.

WYF had sour experiences in life and it just made her what she is. Our experiences shapes us so it shaped her too. She had loved him too, but the way she loves is different from his way of loving because that is how they had grown up. We need to keep in mind that he fell first, so the first one to put efforts in high school was him. That doesn't mean she put in no efforts. She knew that if her aunt got to know about her meeting SY, she would again be called names but she still met him always when he came to meet her. In fact she even waited for him. She initiated a promise too, because she saw her future with him. She is not a passionate person like him, so her love is silent kind of love while his love is one which announces itself whenever she is present.

And above all, her own mother didn't loved her at her worst, then how can she expect a teenager to love her. She really didn't knew his intensity of love for her.

You think he will send her photos? He won't because he was looking at her in all the pics they clicked.

Those who haven't read the novel, I think cannot really grasp what SY was thinking while WYF was sleeping on his bed. So here is that particular thought he had:

“Can you be a little more obvious?” As though he was afraid of actually waking her, Sang Yan’s voice was so low, it almost came out as a whisper. “Or I won’t be able to grasp your intentions.”

After all, he did think that, even if it wasn’t much, she should have had some affection towards him in the past.

But later on, he realised that things such as feelings were the most difficult to decipher.

His opinions may not be aligned with the reality of the matter.

She may not be willing to bear the passionate affection he wanted to shower on her, even if it was one-sided.

So this time round, he’d have to wait.

He’d have to wait till she was willing to take the initiative to reach out to him.

Then, and only then,

will he once again, pour out everything into her hands."

Finally. We saw how bright smile Sang Yan really have when he is with Wen Yifan. The way he couldn't control his smile, his eyes were shining. Damn. Felt like I saw high school SY again. Only WYF can give him this happiness. He was so happy today for the first time. His feelings are finally being reciprocated.

And the awkwardness and smile WYF had. It felt like she would cry any moment after SY confessed to have liked her for all these years. WYF really deserves all the happiness.

SY literally imagined them married, running a noodle shop with her feeding him. He was down so bad.

Just wished there were few flashbacks but I guess they wanted to show us how their journey is now coming to a full circle. Got rejected for the first time in rain and in the same city to now confessing their love for a lifetime in rain and in the same city. Once, he was left alone without an umbrella and now, she was by his side, as his girlfriend under the same umbrella.

I guess it is a thing of Zhu Yi's novels. SY and WYF too had it this way in novel.

It means the number of days from that particular scene. It keeps changing because they had been living together for months now.

The focus were not them so it makes sense. The one playing SZ is a child actor and she looks adorable.

Pampered a lot with gentle and soft personality but her father died. Mother remarried within few months. Step-sister disliked her. Her mother was not willing to pay for her tuition fees of dance. Afterwards, she was sent to her grandmother who died soon after and then she was sent to her father's brother. His wife disliked her and had bad behavior. Continuously telling her she is a liability or she don't deserve good things and even saying that she seduces boys(because ML confessed to liking her in front of everyone so she doesn't have to shoulder the responsibility).

She then had to shift in another city with her Aunt whose brother continuously harassed her and one night, he attempted to R--- her too but she was saved somehow. Her mother abandoned her and she wanted to run away, so she broke up with ML(they had more of an ambiguous relationship than friendship). Then she had to fend for herself and during internship, her boss tried to make her sleep with him. She then left that city and came back to the city she met ML for the first time. She had financial problems too.

In short, a literal hell she had to go through.

Sang Zhi and DJX are there but played by different actors. Another reason for less screen time is that they didn't played any major part in Sang Yan's love story, so they are not really needed much. While in contrast, SZ and DJX met because DJX was best friend of Sang Yan. Sang Yan was an active part and link between SZ and DJX.

Here Wen Yifan is not related to SZ in any way so DJX or SZ are not really needed for SY's love story to progress.

I don't remember the page name but when I scroll through twitter, I always see it. It mostly have views more 40M per day.

I feel she didn't completely locked SY out, especially not in the drama though she don't share much of what is going on in her mind. It was only when she was almost SA that she did that. She saw SY fighting for her and then how it was embarrassing thing to be a victim of attempted SA was in her head because of what people around her said. She was too embarrassed about it given she was just between 17-18 and didn't wanted to tell him.

He didn't suspected much in the novel. He saw her daily routine which was quite stressful so he thought she sleepwalked because of that but the drama had tried to make the connections stronger than novel, so it might be.

The reason he asks her to eat is because she is physically weak. She skips her meals and her body literally had just bones.

In the novel, the tickets he has are from Yihe to Nanwu but here, he was still in college, so he hadn't travelled a lot.

ZRN is a film actress. Her films are good and her acting is too but I feel she needs to explore her range from melodrama or sad atmosphere to something else. She is gorgeous but her projects mostly have her crying a lot. I watched two of her movies and the nuances are something that Chinese actress lacks in drama.

I don't think so. HL ended on the proposal scene and even this novel has proposal scene at the end so i think that is how it will end. But this also has more no. of episodes, so maybe they will show a few snippets of their married life.

Numerous fanpages on twitter keeps you updated. Drama is doing really well commercially as well as internationally.

Maybe I have read novel so many times that I sympathize a lot with her. I always knew she was emotionally stunted that I didn't expected much. Living with strangers here was different from the novel. I feel even a woman lived there so she might have felt safer. She was still in internship period so her pay might not be high.
