The plan was to use the rules against each other. In the event that NH must play out the iconic scene and is forced to stab SYM, FG would attack her to trigger the ML-saves-the-FL troupe.

If you watch again, NH was about to stab her, but when FG moves to attack SYM, NH’s body moved to protect her instead. That’s how he beat the iconic scene…

Also…side note…did FG really have to strike some vital organs?😭 like he couldn’t have done a less severe slash or something?

I’d like to see if I’m as smart and calculating as NH🤣 I dont know the exact details but I like to call out how things could play out. I anticipated that the emperor would side with NH at the joint interrogation and CGH would go batshit crazy….and now CGH is currently batshit crazy🤣

I hope not because I’m tired of the evil uncle arc. Lol. I need them to start addressing the battle-with-the-script arc🤣

Am I the only one that thinks that the Yiteng-Shangguen-Nan Rui love triangle isn’t as innocent as it seems. I’ve long had a hunch that the drama is setting up either Nan Rui or Shangguan to die…not necessarily die because of the love triangle, but in order to resolve it. I’m thinking it’s gonna be Nan Rui because they’re making his character more likeable

As far as ML goes, Nan Heng is my fav character by far😍

So far I’ve watched 2 original scripts: this drama and Feud. I love both. I hope there are more originals because they so unexpected and fun!

lol. Maybe it’ll pop up again…CGH doesn’t know it either so maybe he’ll think SYM knows thus leading to another iconic scene🤷🏻‍♀️

Now I get why SYM didn’t tell him…just explaining the absurdity of the stabbing 🤣🤣🤣 even though I knew it would happen, I was still cringing at the ridiculousness of it….like who would believe ANY of that if they didn’t read the script🤣

I think this drama would be better if binged. As someone who watched it while it was ongoing, the conflicts could get a bit intense and waiting for resolutions were frustrating.

This is the SYM development I have been waiting for…yes, she is still scared of the iconic scenes…but she’s being proactive and brave. She could’ve went to the WRC gang or asked her dad for help but she didn’t. She gathered evidence herself (CGH letter) , confronted CGH in front of everyone by herself, and went to plead with the emperor (almost ambushed him at the prison🤣) on behalf of NH herself.

Like yes, girl! It’s now your time to shine!

Yep to all of that. To expand: My speculation is that the emperor never liked the Gao family from the very beginning, thus why NH was never favored. Noble consort said she was engaged to another but the paranoid emperor made her marry him, likely to keep an eye on the Gaos.. Even when the empress was alive, the emperor was always critical of NH. Seeing NH in an unfavorable position, the uncle probably decided to take action and kill her because 1. She showed NH kindness and 2. he could pave the way for his sister to get the empress title eventually and NH would have an easier path at the crown prince. When that didn’t happen, uncle orchestrated NH to get military merits and plot the downfall of the Chus so he could rise to unlimited power forever😈
