The fact that she didn’t know who HRY was and was willing to protect such a “weak” disciple just proves she’s a good person. I’m hoping she gets a happy ending with Meng Chu

I actually applaud the writers for pushing it to the limit. Curious how BJS will be able to redeem himself. ..maybe it could be the greatest narrative in a cdrama or it could be dud. lol.

Right! She deeply loved 2 people, BJS and their son. Once she kills BJS, those 2 people are gone so no reason to keep going😭

Well, It seems like immortals CAN be killed (HRY is trying to kill BJS so I guess it can be done somehow 🤷🏻‍♀️) ….maybe it’s because BJS and HRY are thousands of years old and have cultivated so much that they are super strong. but maybe their son was just so young, with little cultivation that he was able to be killed by mere mortals.

Honestly nothing is really explained so I’m hoping we get some answers about it later.

I really like BJS..but if he is going to be that gullible then he is beyond help. Lol. Like when LQY was pretending to be “in love” with him, then she slayed the snake and was dying, BJS went and got her that rare fruit to save her life…then now she pretended to care for him and fought the evil spirit and she’s dying again…and he gave her his spirit pearl or whatever! Lol. it was the SAME exact trick! How did he fall for it twice!!! Stop being so gullible BJS

I was just thinking about similarities with TMOPB too! Honestly, I always felt Yehua should’ve suffered more for his role in SuSu’s demise. With Feud, BJS is getting the proper amount..maybe a little too much right now because her side isn’t revealed yet….but BJS had a big hand in what happened to HRY too, good intentions or not, he deserved some of her wrath

Oh no..makes me wonder, was HRY child trying to save her just like Lin Tao tried to save BJS ??? Hopefully not because that would be so so so so sad!

It took me some time to realize it too…but I started to think something fishy was going on because it seemed like everything was designed to make BJS feel guilty. first, with the the scholar dying, then Lin Fan dying, then fatherless Lin Tao, then his mom with that speech about not saving her husband…lol. It was so much🤣

I love a good enemies-to-lovers story but this reverse lovers-to-enemies troupe might be my new favorite. IT IS SOMETHING ELSE!

I started off on LQY/HRY side…but now that I rewatched some of the beginning episodes, I feel so bad for BJS! Especially now that I know she was faking it. Lol. She gave him no time to breathe before she moved right onto the next plan!

Plan A: have him fall in love with her again then BETRAY HIM.
Plan B: have him develop empathy, make friends, let him believe she’s softening again…then BETRAY HIM!
Plan C???: tell him about their child, and then kill him!?

It hurts my heart to see BJS suffer so much, (especially since Joseph Zeng looks so damn good in a white wig or his puppy eyes are always longing for our FL)……but damn, at the same time I’m loving this drama so far. They didn’t skimp on the angst and revenge part at all…Killing him is not enough…she needed him to suffffffferrrr first!

And there’s plenty more suffering to be suffered by the both of them…

Bring it on! I’m ready!

I cried when Lin Tao told the other kids BJS was his dad😭 BJS is definitely trying to make it up to Lin Fan through his son.

As for retaining their memories l have a theory it’s because BJS and HRY initially tried to force a love tribulation for selfish reasons and they tried to have it both ways (easy life with powers in the mortal realm) so no it wasn’t a “true” one…but Because of this, their actual love tribulation was 100x’s worse. At least if they had their memories erased, when they become immortal again, they could at least understand…but the fact that they kept their memories and made the choices that they did, made the tribulation so much worse! ( but Idk maybe I’m wrong. lol.)

I don’t think she blames BJS for the mortals turning against her….But more so, leaving her powerless against the bad ones. They mentioned that HRY destroyed villages, killed mortals, stole artifacts, and did other evil deeds…she still cares for the mortals but it sounds like She probably killed the villagers who wronged her….and the only person left to kill is BJS for his part in her suffering.

Also, there’s the Age old debate of fate vs free will. I’ve seen a couple xianxias where the message is to reject fate and encourage free will. I’m getting the feeling that this drama might be promoting that notion too. HRY (free will) vs BJS (fate) whereas BJS is no longer leaving mortals to their fate and is actively helping them. But I agree that perhaps you need a bit of both
