the way i have been waiting my whole life for gawin to get a main lead but sadly its a vampire show . . . sigh…
Honestly, I'm not a huge vampire fan, but this show has me legit laughing like a loon so far. If you take it as more of a comedy, I think it's highly enjoyable. At least so far. I also do not care for Ossan's Love Thailand - I don't see redeeming qualities in any of those characters and the camp is way overdone. I think this show is better than what EarthMix was given, as much as I wanted it to be the other way around.
Tong: Let me go, I won't tell anyone, I swear! Also Tong immediately upon seeing Tongkla: Kla! I swear this is the truth - I got kidnapped by a vampire! 🤣
No they don't Yotha have many a time mentioned that how badly their mom hurt FaifaNewton is always there to protect…
I feel like the way Yotha was written is a bit contradictory. He genuinely cares for Faifa, yes, but at the same time seems to not know his brother very well. He knows Faifa is overly kind to everyone which causes issues sometimes and then Yotha comes in to protect him, but on the other hand, he seems oblivious to the underlying issue about *why* Faifa is overly kind to everyone. He jumps in to protect Faifa against people who misunderstood Faifa's kindness, but doesn't do much to protect him against their mother. Yes, there was the scene when their mother shows up at the dorms and he takes Faifa away, but I always got the impression that was more for Yotha's sake than Faifa's. And yeah, Faifa doesn't open up about it, but Yotha doesn't ask or dig deeper about it either. There's just an inconsistency with Yotha that grates on me a bit. Also, to me, Newton can go suck an egg. He actively watched Yotha be upset about their mother, but Wa was the one to actually comfort him. He clinked glasses watching the drama fallout between Klao and Yotha like it was enjoyable soap opera and not his younger brother's personal pain. He showed almost zero concern/compassion/care about their mother leaving or apologizing or explaining. He's the weakest link of the brothers for sure. I hope Wine lays both Faifa's brothers low, honestly. (Sorry, that was a whole rant I didn't think I needed to vent, but evidently did lol.)
I know I'm probably in the minority about this, but I started this because of EarthMix, and they're the only reason I'm staying. I am legitimately constantly irritated by Heng and his manchild self, Boss and his inability to take a damn hint (or rather, multiple), and Mo's incredible lack of self esteem. I wanted to like this, I really did. But I don't see many redeeming qualities in any of them. I knew it would be campy, but it's so insanely over the top campy the meaningful moments get overshadowed. Though, I do think Earth has done a fantastic job as Heng acting wise.
I came here to say the same!! His family is seriously pissing me off, first of all Yotha. He does not deserve…
I honestly think that's going to be what happens. Wine is going to blow up on Faifa's behalf and it's gonna be a gut punch to Yotha, but he needs it so badly. The entire family is incredibly selfish *except* Faifa. It's so true that kind people are kind because they know the hurt of unkindness - Faifa being a perfect example, which is heart crushing.
It's the scene when Faifa and Wine are on the rooftop before going to the bar with the others. Faifa tells Wine he waited, they didn't actually show him at the airport.
-"You can be weird all you want, as long as you're being yourself with me." OMG Wine is the greenest of green for Faifa! And Faifa deserves this beautiful green flag so much! -"I've cared too much about other people. I want to protect my heart for a change." Fucking yes! Faifa, you beautiful boy, that is the right answer! Oh, the sigh of relief I felt when he said that 💓
"Why must I be the one to sacrifice?" "Mom said love wouldn't hurt, so why am I still hurting now?" Words cannot express how much I want to punt kick their mother and Newton (and also dad and Yotha, dammit) multiple times. It hits home for me, too, because I'm totally that person in my family. Like, I want to hug Faifa so tight to mend the broken pieces ðŸ˜
Dropped it after episode 3. What is this clusterf*ck of repeated conversations/scenarios and bad humor/acting?Big…
I can totally see where a lot of people wouldn't enjoy it. I actually liked the second half better than the first. I struggled to get through the first half - I honestly couldn't decide if I liked it or not. It's like it tried to be too many things but couldn't hold them all together or something. I can't pinpoint it, but there was something just... off... for me throughout a lot of it. Overall, I enjoyed it, but it's more just OK. Past the halfway point, it's does get better, though, it shouldn't have to be that way.
Seeing the First Q video, I have to say, I'm impressed with Mark's visuals as a vampire - I wasn't really expecting that. I just wish it had English subs... I'm gonna keep all my fingies and toes crossed for this show, though.
The age of adulthood in Thailand is 20. So every single university setting show from Thailand, BL or not, all starts with everyone being 20 years old as university freshmen. But I agree, it could have been aged up, or just not set in university. Just in general, I'm getting super tired of any school setting for shows lol.
I struggle so much with this that I decided to rewatch 1000 stars to show my support. Mix and Earth deserve better.
Omg I literally just did the same 😂 Binged 1000 Stars so hard. But when I went to watch the Our Skky episodes, it's no longer on YouTube and Viki wants me to pay to watch it. Rude.
Yotha saying Fai doesn't know how to love or can't accept it has got to be the most hypocritical thing he's ever…
It's interesting you see it that way, because I saw it more as Yotha knows how kind Faifa is to literally everyone, so he doesn't think Faifa understands how to love a singular person because he tries so hard to make *everyone* love him. It definitely sounds hypocritical, but, to me, it's not wrong for Yotha to think that way - especially after the one dude tried to pick a fight with him for giving a ride to someone (as he does for literally everyone lol), and Yotha having to step in and then asking if it was because of Faifa's kindness again. Which it was. So this behavior from Faifa is obviously not a new thing and has caused issues in the past, meaning Yotha has good reason to say what he said. In my mind, anyway lol. But he also hasn't seen Faifa and Wine together much, so he doesn't know what we know about Faifa learning what special means.
I am really upset with Heng. I hate a weak ass indecisive wimp of a man. Momo needed to leave his butt. How much…
Honestly? Same. So so so much. I think Earth's acting is absolutely on point for the character, but I just don't care about the character hardly at all. And I *really* dont understand how he has THREE people in love with him! He's a manchild who can't do basically anything for himself. Yes, he's kind and sweet, but he's helpless. His kindness cannot make up for his ineptitude for me. I don't think Mo is all that greatly written, either, but I at least empathize with him on some level. I don't dislike the show, but I likely won't re-watch. I'm really only here because it's EarthMix 😑
The camp is strong with this one lol. I'm here for it, though. If you look up the definition of "goggled at" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of Tong every time Mark is shirtless 👀👀 Also, the title song is giving me everything. It's like upscale 80's ballad and I absolutely love it.
The amount of times I have and will continue to re-watch this show is unhealthy lol. It very much has become a comfort show. In future, I need William to play First's brother, and Est and Hong to play brothers. I know it's been mentioned about William and First before, but Est and Hong have the same face and lip shape - I can't unsee it.
nah this time Mo has to stand up for Heng. Heng has done enough. He only needs to be brave in front of Mom and…
OK, so this is going to come across as mean, and that is not my intention, but via text is difficult lol. Did you read all of what I wrote? Because I completely agree that Mo is more at fault and that communication would have solved basically all the issues. I'm just explaining how I can understand Mo's perspective - largely because I am a lot like Mo's character. But either way, without the communication we get the story and the drama. If they were actually a healthy relationship from the start, the show would have ended already lol. Also, I'm not convinced Mo *has* introduced another boyfriend before. Mo said he has, but his sister told Heng he had not. When Heng asked Mo, he said he wouldn't tell. I feel like the way Ten has acted towards Mo, he may have introduced himself to Mo's family without Mo's knowledge or permission, which is why he knows Mo's family/house. I'm hoping for more Mo back story about why he's acting this way for it to make more sense. But given the preview for next week, I suspect we won't get it anytime soon.
Also Tong immediately upon seeing Tongkla: Kla! I swear this is the truth - I got kidnapped by a vampire! 🤣
