can someone tell what movie they were watching when they went camping please
It's episode 3 of Between Us when Team gets super drunk with the ABC gang and Win shows up and takes Team home. I thought it was when I first heard it, and then I went back and watched the scene just to confirm ๐
That's exactly what I was thinking lol. All their fathers are probably gonna get heart attacks lmao
No one is saying we are...? I'm just saying that for same sex couples, surrogacy is the option for biological children. I have multiple friends who have done so themselves. Also, it's a TV show. About fake people. And a fake country. If you saw it as anything other than banter about a pretend situation, that's your perception, not my intention.
whatโs with the soft focus filter on zee, is that in his contract?
The soft focus is everywhere, but particularly obvious on Zee, yes! There's a blurring all over the backgrounds, and even some foregrounds, when the shot is close up. I don't understand why.
So in true Thai BL fashion, I expect there to be many BL or GL couples, but they're really going to say that entire generation said, "Nope, no hetero for me." I mean, I'm not opposed at all, I just find it amusing; Khanin and Charan, Ramil and Paytai, Ava and Mira, and Calvin and Jay.
Does anyone know the age gap between Khanin and Charan? We know that Khanin is 22, and Charan is appointed as…
I just assumed it was close to the age gap between Zee and NuNew - around 9 years, maybe 10. That would give the believability to him being a professor, at least. A young professor, but at least old enough.
Does the blurring of all things other than faces bother anyone else? Cause it's driving me crazy. I don't understand why it's necessary. I mean, I understand softening edges to try to keep an air of fancy/lavish/wealth, blah blah blah. But this is not soft. It's full blur. I keep thinking there's something on my glasses.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this, but it kills me with giggles every time I see the crest with all 4 families represented because it straight up loos like the Hogwarts crest with the 4 houses lol. Colors match and everything ๐
I think so. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like that it incorporated mystical elements without going overboard about it. There are a few small plot holes, but no more than any other show. Daou and Offroad do a really good job, not just with their chemistry, but also with angst and doubts and such. My only real critique would be that the "villain" wasn't done super well and felt a bit inconsistent. Again, to me. But overall, I really like this show, and do recommend it.
this is the first thai bl that i've watched, and im disapointed lmaooo the TEERUK guy had the most atrocious acting…
Oof, this being your first Thai BL is an awkward start for sure. It's a specific kind of campy fluff - like, literally fluff for the sake of fluff and not much else. I enjoy it because I've watched numerous Thai shows, and this is genuinely a genre type that is somewhat common, but definitely not everyone's cup of tea. So for the acting, I would say it's more specifically tailored to the genre than bad, at least to me. However, Kong is a new actor and I agree, does have some growing to do.
My personal Thai favorites are Last Twilight, Between Us, ThamePo, Perfect 10 Liners, The Eclipse, Not Me, and Moonlight Chicken. There's also KBL Love for Love's Sake and Secret Relationships, JBL I Can Hear the Sunspot and Takarakun to Amagikun, and Taiwanese BL See Your Love and Kiseki: Dear to Me.
My understanding is that it's related to the actors schedules and other commitments. I don't have any concrete evidence, but I know Prem was filming for another show recently. And Santa's schedule changed because of Project JASP.er and his other show with Perth, so that's why Barcode is now playing Ciar.
They held the filming worship ceremony today. I read in comments that the read through for Fahs and Phoons story…
If I remember correctly, New previously said filming likely won't start until closer to October because of his commitments to other shows (Revamp is only at something like Q4 or Q5 ๐ฎโ๐จ). But he also said he won't be the only director and will have more assistance, so maybe that means it will start earlier ๐ค
And HillTer and JohanNorth *should* be in season 2 the same way the main couples in the upcoming season were side characters in season 1. The 4 doctors and the 4 juniors are all friends, so there's crossover in the novels. Since the first season followed the novels pretty well, I'm hoping season 2 does the same.
HillTer and JohanNorth *should* be in this - they're in the novels as side characters for the other couples the same way the couples in season 2 were side characters in season 1. Season 1 followed the novels really well, so I have all my fingies and toes crossed they'll maintain the same accuracy for season 2 ๐ค
I thoroughly loved this show. I've watched both the cut and uncut version, and if you're able, absolutely watch the uncut. The story as a whole just makes more sense. I don't really understand why there was a cut version to begin with.
I also just finished all 4 novels, and let me I tell you, HillTer was as bland in the novel as they are in the show. Their novel was a little over 500 pages (in a translated Google Doc lol), but JohanNorth? Theirs was 1030 pages. Including special chapters and epilogues. Like, I don't even think the author cared for HillTer much lol. Which is a bummer for Pond and Earth - I adore Earth, and desperately want to see him in better roles. However, I will say, the show actually followed the novels really well overall. If you're able, read the novels for sure!
Gurl, I'm Ace and only watch BL lol. I haven't found a GL I like much, either. I mostly enjoyed the GL side couple in Love Sea, but I have a hard time with GL because F/F relationships so often feel oversexualized for the male gaze (p๐ฝ ๐) and I just can't seem to see past it ๐คท. I actually sat and asked myself a while back why I only want to watch BL anymore, so when a (conservative) friend asked about it, I actually had a three bullet point answer ๐
Did... Did Tong just make ham and tuna sandwiches? And that's supposed to attract people to be his friend? Because if someone gave me that, I'd think they were insane lol.
Blood, Fangs, and Opinions: What My Golden Blood Teaches Us About BL Commentary Culture(Or, how to stay classy…
"Don't mistake your personal palate for universal truth" is a stunning way to put it, and should be read by everyone prior to commenting on anything. Thank you for this line! I shall now go emblazen it upon my brain to use in every conversation possible โบ๏ธ
