I couldn't believe it when I heard the husband on the phone. I thought they had it wrong the whole time. I was…
We may yet be surprised. I still don't think he's the villain in Thap's story. He was already being investigated by the police, so he's dirty either way.
The looks they give each other are scrumptious. I can't explain why, but they just click, and it's fantastic to see. I love it.
Once again, I'm so happy with the way the tarot cards are being used in the series. It's such a small detail, but it connects things so well. The Fool being today's card was well chosen. The beginning of a journey without knowing the end, leaving the known in the past and embarking on something new? It's so suited to the beginning of this new chapter for them. Thap coming back and helping, In slowly opening up a sliver - it's all new territory for them both, and The Fool represents exactly that. Can this series go on longer than the 10 episodes planned, please?
That was the original, somewhat of a joke, title. It's a reference to the BounPrem fandom, so before it had an actual working title, it was called My Broccoli.
Did they reshoot everything or what? Why is the vibe so different now?! It looks like a starter 2014 BL series!?What…
Pilots, like the one that was released a few years back, are filmed *before* any of the actual series is filmed. It's how Thai media companies garner interest and funding, which then is why product placement is so heavy in every Thai show. So the actual filming of the show didn't start until February or March of this year. And this is Boun's project. He wrote it. If Boun is happy with it, we should be, too.
I think that was before Boun went to Gmmtv, thats the whole reason the series took so long to make, because after…
But the reason it came to GMM is because it is Boun's project. My understanding is he paid for the rights to write the screenplay, so it's his no matter what company he's under.
So many people complaining that the trailer isn't as dark as the pilot we had years ago - do you all remember Boun wrote it? This is his vision, his baby. It's also now under a different company and almost all the actors besides Boun and Prem are now different. Things change, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Personally, I'm absolutely still going to watch it, and I'm going to not let the differences between pilot and trailer be something that gets my panties in a twist. The saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" is cliche for a reason, y'all. Watch the show (in it's entirety) before you condemn it.
I absolutely love the forced loathing of each other but still desiring to take care of and save each other. It's going to be so satisfying when they finally realize and admit to feelings.
Ohmigosh, the use of the cards in assisting telling the story! First The Wheel of Fortune, now Judgement. Judgement is about self-evaluation, consequences of past actions, a time of reckoning, and perilous challenges that must be faced. It's subtle, but the weaving of the meaning of the cards with the story is making my heart so happy. Because I don't think either card is about only one of them - they both need to self evaluate, they both have consequences to face - Thap for whatever slight the true villain sees as the instigating incident and his disbelief (and maybe something with his father?), and In for blaming himself for his parents' and for choosing to step in to save Thap. The Wheel is in motion and Judgement is coming - I can't wait to see what they use next week!
Another entitled female. I see the fiancee causing more trouble . As much as I love this series I am disturbed…
I actually thought Pa was going to be an exception after last week's episode π She held her head high and maintained her dignity when Thee refused to float the lantern with her, so it seemed she might not be one to cause trouble. Then here she is now with an extra helping of it like we wanted any in the first place π Gurl, bye. I'm so over the stereotypical female trying to come between the two leads - BL or otherwise. Can women be depicted as accepting defeat and moving on, not scheming to get what they want, please?
I noticed that apparently many people weren't finding romance in others BL.
This! I absolutely agree. I don't mind a good NC scene - provided it works for the story and isn't just filler to satiate whatever demands people make - but actual, genuine romance doesn't feel common anymore. Give me more of the soft. More of the simple. More of the everyday. Show me someone wooing their love, not just jumping into bed with their love. Not to mention, adults. Give me adults who are mature enough to understand romance. I don't mind an occasional university show, but Jiminy Christmas, please! Stop making actors in their late 20s or early 30s play college age kids - usually complete with flashbacks to high school that are supposed to be believable π Maybe that's another part of why the romance feels so good in this show. They're adults in an adult relationship. *le sigh* Man. This show, these actors? Just top tier π€
Oh, this feels so good! And oh, the animosity between them, but all the while the hints of caretaking?! Chef's kiss!
The tarot readings, the cards pulled? The first episode being called The Wheel of Fortune?!?! So well done. I was a little nervous about how they were going to depict the readings, but damn it's been well done. So far at least!
For those who don't know, The Wheel of Fortune card represents the cyclical nature of the world, and what has been set in motion cannot be stopped. It's brilliant to use that as the jumping off point for the show since we just saw In trying to change Thap's fate. But something is already in motion, and (based on the trailer) because it cannot be stopped, forces them together. Which in turn, gives us their growth together over the course of the show. I love it. I'm grinning like a fool.
Memoir of Rati β Floating Lanterns and Feelings GaloreOkay, can we talk about Thee for a second? So Iβm watching…
I'm honestly so glad you mentioned Pa. I was genuinely ready to hate her for potentially trying to come between Thee and Rati, but she is so poised and self aware I just can't. It's so obvious she's trying to do the right thing based on familial wishes, but she can see the truth of Thee not wanting to marry, but mostly the truth of Thee and Rati. And her giving him the out while still maintaining her composure? Gurl, yes, thank you! She's gonna hold her head up, and I respect it. I don't think it's going to go well for Thee and the consequences he said he was ready to take responsibility for, though. I mean, Grandma runs that house and she wants him to marry - and his father just cowtows to whatever Grandma wants. I'm gonna hold my breath and cross my fingers for a happy ending, but based on the time and both their family obligations, I don't currently see how it will work out. I have more hope for a MekDech happy ending, since Dech said himself he doesn't listen to anyone anyway lol.
OK, is Thiwthit Tada's half brother or stepbrother? Because the scene when Thiwthit brings the magazine to Tada and says he'll give him anything was creeptastic either way, but if they actually share a father, I want to gouge my eyes out. I just want to smack Thiwthit and his spoiled over-exaggerated facial expressions.
I understand the need for a character like Ruj, but gawd I loathe him so much. Literally everything about him. My genuine hope is for his downfall. Not death, downfall. Be the slave you keep thinking you're so much better than, cretin.
