It took me a long time to start this drama because in Fourever You, the character played by Pond was really wrong…
Honestly, HillTer were just boring characters. I read all the books after watching the first season, and I honestly think even the author doesn't care much for them lol. So for how the characters were written, Pond and Earth did a good job. But actors can only do so much with the script they are given, and everything about the HillTer storyline was just kind of blah. So I can totally see how the would put you off. I think Hill and Ter both are better as the side friends than as a main couple. I'm so glad Pond is doing so well with this show, though. Now if we could just get a good role for Earth that's not so whiney 🤞
I believe Armin in the very first episode was in his late 40's and now he is back to being early 20's and doing…
Now that I'm into the show more, I realize the time line and it makes more sense. Personally, I don't see any difference in age other than they gave them different hairstyles and put glasses on Pond. I know the phrase "Asian don't raisin" is a stereotype for a reason, but 26 years is a big gap and it would totally show more than what they did lol.
This may have been answered weeks ago, but I'm just now getting to start this series - how old was Armin supposed to be at the beginning of the series before the reset? Because it went from 2025 to 1999 and everyone looks exactly the same except the hair. That's just a really big jump, especially since the two main actors were born in 1999 and 1998. Is it really supposed to be 1999 when it resets, or are the subtitles incorrect?
OK, I need assistance, y'all. I just moved from the US to South Korea, and all of a sudden almost half my shows are saying "copyright restriction" on iQIYI, this one included. It's also not available on YouTube. I know I can bootleg it, but is there really no other way to watch my Thai shows in South Korea? I'd rather give the royalties to where they should go than bootleg, but I'll bootleg if I have to lol.
OK, I need info about the shirt Phu is wearing while Cir sings to him as the credits roll. The collar of that shirt says "hobi lgbtqia+" in the embroidery - no one will convince me otherwise lol. My brain is automatically going to Hobi, as in J-Hope from BTS, but I really don't think it could actually be him - mostly because I feel like he would not really be allowed to do that, and even if he was the fans would have exploded the internet by now. And trying to search either the words or a reverse search of the image is not yielding any results. Anyone have any idea? (I paused it at 1:03:26 if you need a clear picture of what I mean lol.)
I wonder is Boun is still gonna be in this now that he's signed with GMMTV.
I may be wrong, but I ✨swear✨ I read somewhere that filming is already done, so the cast list should be correct. I'm hoping I'm not wrong, but maybe it was just wishful thinking 😅
OMG why I am I hearing of this just now.!!!!!!! UWMA is my absolute fav thai bl, it was just so heartbreakingly…
This is my ultimate comfort show. I have lost count of the number of times I have watched it. I highly recommend. There are a few time line inconsistencies from UWMA, but it's not terrible. WinTeam are well layered and believable, and all the side characters, including and especially DeanPharm, are well done. I love it so much lol.
Was he actually, though? When Charan went to check, it looked like the guards who were supposed to watch him were the ones taken down and Coach Joe was missing. Did I miss him?
Well, we definitely got one answer, but tons more questions lol. I'm glad we saw more of the political intrigue, despite the fact that I want the answers faster than the episodes are giving them. But we're only halfway, so I understand why the intrigue continues.
Ugh, I'm so glad Mr. High and Mighty King realized Charan is the best to train and care for Khanin. Like, you know his family, you know his skills. Plus, you yourself trust him since you "adopted" him. Who else could you *actually* trust?!
They gave me everything...fancy club and animated phoenixes...
The phoenixes killed me! It took me a minute, because my first thought was oh, wow, glowing birds 😅 I do wonder if they're real, though. Ava's province is super high tech, so I'm wondering if they were holograms or something like that 🤔
Oh, c'mon... the directors and writers of this drama were sleeping during their "how to build a good plot" lessons?I'm…
I agree with everything you said, minus the paintings part lol. I mean, no, they're not masterpieces by any means, but generally speaking the production of the artworks has felt very natural to me. The darker more sultry type paintings in the dark pub where Charan has been meeting his friend about the investigation? Perfect match to the scene. The lighter paintings of mostly landscapes and flowers being in the big open spaces like the classroom and Charan's living room? Perfect backdrop and side scapes for the scene. The duality of the conversation between the king and Charan about the constellation? Masterful showcase of the differing points of views of the two discussing it - that subtle but not so subtle way to explain the king seeing the impossibility but Charan seeing the romanticism? Ugh, I love it so much. Also, the quality of the canvas. Oh. Mah. Gawd. So many thousand steps up from other productions I've seen. Namely "We Are" where, despite being art students, they toss their canvases in the back seats of cars, and move massive wet paintings around like it was in any way a good idea, and leaving full art sets of paints and brushes and tools sitting out in the open in a common area, and the absolute worst stretched canvas I have ever seen outside a dollar store but is supposed to be gallery worthy submissions. Me, my artist heart, and my art school background cringed so hard. So maybe that's why this show's art has been so refreshing lol. They actually did a good job with the canvas and tools. (Minus the time we saw Paytai painting and the light was *behind* the canvas, and he was painting over a large antique rug, and no one ever seems to wear smocks/aprons/coveralls lol.) But, to me, those are minor compared to "We Are." So I, personally, have enjoyed the art in this show. It's not my style to purchase or anything, but I appreciate - so much - the production crew paying attention to style changes and colors for different locations.
Genuine question: Why wouldn't Prince Wasin have ever found a way to have an heir after his consort passed away? Like, everything in Emmalian tradition is through the heir winning the throne for the parent, which he obviously knows, so why did he never remarry? It's been weirdly bothering me. I get the feeling he's the sneakiest of all of them for some reason. Rachata is obviously awful, but Wasin is almost always smiling and convivial. He just seems way more sus to me than anyone else.
I'm sure you guys will talk about the characters in the series a lot so here's me with another topic after the…
I've been so impressed with the art as well! There was one in the pub last week that I had to pause the show just to admire ❤️ I am not as familiar with names and artists, however lol.
Though, I rolled my eyes so hard when they showed Paytai painting with the light *behind* the canvas and a fancy antique rug *under* the canvas 🙄 No actual artist is going to paint that way. And still wearing clean, crisp clothes without any sort of smock or apron? Come on. My art school days are mocking that whole set up so hard 😅
*sigh* after watching Fourever You, Johan and North were one of my favorite on screen couples of the last few…
I can absolutely see where you're coming from, but for me I think it had to do with who wrote the series and who wrote the special. The series had two screenwriters using the novels as a base and building from there. The special had the actual author of the novel as the screenwriter, and the author wrote North (and Ter and Phoon and Dao 🙄) in a very domestically "housewife" kind of way after they move in together (North even attempts to teach Daotok to cook in Arthit and Daotok's novel because Arthit wants his "wife" to cook for him because all his friends wives cook for them 😑). Which also bothers me when authors/writers use out dated hetero normative gender stereotypes for same sex couples, but that's a debate/discussion I'm not awake enough to delve into right now lol. All that to say, given how the author wrote North in the books, it was not surprising to me to see him portrayed that way in the special. Irksome, yes. Surprising, not so much. I'm holding out hope the next season will maintain the same faithfulness of plot (while toning down the gender roles) to the novels the first season did, because FahPhoon are my favorites, so I shall keep fingers and toes crossed the author does not write the screenplay for season 2.
Exactly what I wanted to say lol! It's so far off it's hilarious 😂 I honestly thought there going to be like…
Germany was my first thought based on that one shot of the snow and birds because of the architecture! Then I wondered maybe Norway/Sweden since they go there in the book. But nope 🤦
