Thanks for the heads up. I think that’s why I haven’t been able to fully watch any of her costume dramas even for the ML. I think she uses childish voice for all of them. I’ve only watched Moonlight cause it wasn’t so bad in that modern one.

FL was actually a very good girlfriend if you remember all their flashbacks and see the recent episodes. Her personality changed once they went their separate ways and she went through more experiences dealing with her family and how she was mentored at work. I agree on the coldness and hidden empathy in the workplace. She was brought up at her company by a tough boss and often times that how people get their leadership skills. I thought it’s funny that she was tough on the outside but secretly helps her employees on the side so she’s often misunderstood by those who only focus on her toughness. You could tell by the littles things like how she got stuck with the dog. What employee would dump their new puppy on a cold boss they didn’t trust? Both leads changed from their experiences when they were apart which worked for their careers but not really for their love lives until they were together again which then balances out their two worlds.

I think for me, it’s the annoying comparisons of the actresses to each other that some fans tend to do. Seven always gets the bad end of the stick with that because she’s not their idea of the traditional beauty. I think they’re all beautiful in their own way and like different aspects about each actor. For me, the only thing that I’ve only dropped dramas for is the voicing when they make the lead’s voice too childish. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be cute. I’ve only finished Moonlight with Esther Yu and haven’t been able to finish the others because of the dubbing. I’ll see about trying CP6.

I’m a little confused by that but it also looks like he delayed college and did his military service first. It could be that they’re same aged but she was ahead of him in school because of that delay since it’s sunbae (experience) and not noona like how Park Eunbin and Kim YooJung are sunbaes to actors that are older than them.

Good to know. I don’t like that kind of plot.

I read again too. This will be one of those novels that I’ll occasionally return to. Now I just totally picture Seven and XuKai as Ji Xing and Han Ting. They’re so cute in the latest MV.

I thought it was Zeng Di who was sleeping around with Cheng He. LiLi was dating the Wu guy that she introduced to JX about investing in XingChen. Wonder if they’ll keep the wife confrontation part.

He plays the FL’s boyfriend turned ex. His character is supposed to be a nice guy but they just had different trajectories in life.

Yeah…that’s why I was trying to figure who it was that she was romantic with in the previews but a couple of the guys scenes were fast and they looked alike.

It depends on how much they change it. Lili and the ex only had prominent roles in the first part of the novel. The last two parts focus on the two leads. Hope they keep it that way or it will be too big of a change. The ex wasn’t a toxic person, just more traditional which is why for me it would be weird for him to get with LiLi unless they change her character. Chen Yi was completely different from LiLi and Ji Xing as someone who was willing to take a backseat and be the caregiver.

Yeah I saw that that character isn’t listed. And I can see that adding to the fallout/awkwardness of their friendship after. I didn’t like the best friend get with FL ex thing in “Be Together” but hopefully it’s better here since the ex isn’t an a**hole in this one.

From the trailer, it seems like they may pair them up. In the novel, the ex started to date a college classmate who used to have a crush on him at LiLi’s urging and somehow I had a feeling that Lili herself may have had a crush on him back then too. It seems like they may skip the other college classmate and make it LiLi that gets with him. As long as they don’t change his character then I guess so.

The same things happen in the comment section of KDramas too…especially if the FL dares to reject the ML who’s their oppa. I don’t watch C or K dramas on Viki with the comments section on for this reason. They also start calling the actresses middle age when they get into their 30s. These people think they themselves don’t age or something not to mention looks.

I’m going to go back and read the novel again. One of my favorites.
