I’m wondering if they’ll throw in a twist about his parent’s death since the competition with his older cousin seems fiercer in the drama and the mother may be involved in enhancing their competitiveness. Just an observation from the family dinner dynamics.

Ugh…Su needs to not talk business. So I see where the whole dividends and shares thing in the novel came from when the employee wants to leave to “get married” and went to the competitor. There should never be talk of dividends when you don’t have a share-holding structure yet and never with regular employees that you’re just hiring.

It’s all about perspective. For me, I wouldn’t care if they got together naturally post break-up but I wouldn’t maintain the same close friendship. It’s too awkward.

She was a college acquaintance who was friends with LiLi cause LiLi knew she liked SYC in college but SYC was dating FL. LiLi indirectly hooked them up after the breakup so it caused tension with FL cause it was so quick and FL was thinking that they could get back together. This time they switched the roles of the “betrayer” and cut out a character from the novel.

It’s also what ZD used to get to FL later…basically telling JX that that’s HT’s MO. He’ll invest and guide/mentor, use/acquire company and ditch. Trying to make JX doubt HT’s feelings since HT can easily separate business from personal.

Don’t get me started about not liking the FL ones…just because she doesn’t fit into their idol beauty standards or it’s not one of their faves that is the lead. Some of them do this a lot with any FL that is not in their 20s and not idol/traffic. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It reminds me of when HYT talked smack about SY’s look when they starred together in ALSB.

Some people are just obsessed with “first and only loves” so they call people who’ve had past relationships second hand specially FLs that have been in relationships before meeting ML. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Going to have to ignore those comments from now on.

I hope she will after the 2 costume dramas. I would love for a kicka** spy drama after watching her little Mr & Mrs Smith skit in Happy Camp. I’m still waiting to see a good Female led modern action drama that is not republican era. Operation Special Warfare came close but the antagonists were a whole hot mess and dumb as rocks

Can’t stand those either. IMO they’re wrong too but female audiences will always feel more for those guys because it’s always about the guys. It’s just like they’ll forgive a ML for anything he does but will drag the FL through the mud for not giving into the ML easily.

The only original couples from the novel are Shao Yichen and Ji Xing and Han Ting and Ji Xing. The side couples of her friends are all changed from the novel.
