FL will find out the truth that ML owns Han Hai and that in a battle with his cousin, ML used XingChen as a pawn so she questioned his feelings for her since he can do all that behind her back.

It’s pretty common for actors/actresses to promise to do something if their drama hits a certain rating (k-drama) or level (c-drama).

Let's just say if you can get past the first part of the novel which is where her start-up happens, you may like the rest because their interactions and relationship was 🔥. Would not pass censor.

I read these fictions and watch these dramas without thinking much nowadays cause they take lots of creative licensing. I also don’t expect the drama to have the same dynamics as the novel because the personality of the characters are changed a bit. I really liked the novel though.

I thought it was mouth cause of their verbal back and forts but I couldn’t tell by the translation.

I understand what you’re saying. I’m guessing for me being having lived in Silicon Valley where a lot of start-ups started the same way as JX it wasn’t something I questioned because it’s something that is possible. As for comparison with JX in the novel, it’s not much difference in terms of experience but I feel being able to see the growth and interactions of JX in the drama is better. The novel really stretched things out and she was younger, more slower so you would have probably questioned the character even more.

JX was the main engineer that developed Xiao Bai the AI robot for Guanghua so she’s very accomplished in that sense. But she didn’t have management experience. However, she’s the one that has lead her company to solving a lot of the issues. I’m not sure what you mean by doing things on her own but I know everyone has different perspectives. I’m in management and I don’t do things on my own. I have a team and also rely on connections with other departments and my mentors when needed. When I was just learning management, I’ve been in similar situations of learning how to solve problems that arise (minus the sabotage from the antagonist) so this is very realistic. Being good at leadership and management is not automatic even if you go to business school, it’s something you learn and build from experience no matter how smart and accomplished you are in your field. HT just has a lot more experience and opportunities because of the family he was born into while JX starts from scratch so I didn’t expect her to be able to do things on her own but she has the initiative and drive to learn which is what I expect from someone running a start-up and doing their first business venture.

If this wasn’t her first business venture then I would definitely be questioning her abilities. The experience I initially questioned was LiLi because she’s experienced in sales and purchasing from her previous job but didn’t really show it when she first joined the team.

It’s either daughter, sister or niece…someone that is dependent on him. In drama land, any type of children can sometimes be considered a burden on the potential partner by their family so people usually hide it until they’re sure of the relationship and the person because they don’t want to scare them off. Sometimes they make plans to hide them completely even after solidifying the relationship because the partner’s family is against it. It sucks but seen this in many dramas, Chinese, Thai, and Korean dramas.

Aside from the child he’s hiding (either daughter, niece, or sister, it could be any of these because in dramaland any children that’s not from the couple can be seen as a burden on the potential wife by her family) he’s also hiding the fact that him and HT actually own Han Hai, Xing Chen’s competitor. Him and HT are in the same boat regarding Han Hai. This of course will blow up in their faces when JX and LiLi finds out. (XYX and HT are great at separating business from personal but that’s not how the two ladies will see it). However, I can feel that his feelings are sincere towards LiLi. There’s a scene in the credits or opening where he proposes to her.

Both LiLi and him were very casual until they got involved.

In the novel, HT didn’t know JX during college. The bicycle incident was the first time they ever met. That’s a change added in the drama which is why they also changed the dynamics of HT/ZD to leave out the sexual relationship. In the novel, HT and ZD had a friends with benefits relationship. Basically, they met each other’s sexual needs whenever they were in the same place so in the beginning of the novel it wasn’t explicit but it hinted that they were sleeping together. She wasn’t his mistress because she wasn’t kept by him, they just scratched each other’s needs. They weren’t exclusive but HT doesn’t just randomly sleep around while she opened herself up to messing others when HT wasn’t around which is how she got involved with Chang He.

Aside from a “friends with benefits” relationship, he was also ZD’s investor and kind of mentor when she started her business. They got set up at one point but he never looked at her that way and they already had that understanding (or so he thought). He broke things off with ZD personal wise and then pursued JX. Love that they’re going to use the same line that’s shown in the previews when ZD asks HT why doesn’t he choose her when they are a match with family, business, and looks. His response was he never considered her for his wife/partner. So there was never any chance for ZD even if JX wasn’t in the picture.

JX and HT started off with the one night stand due to a bet after that.

In the novel, HT was no saint in his personal life or in business but he was committed when he chose a course.

Yeah, she goes from looking like a tech employee to savvy businesswoman. She looked perfect walking with HT in the white suit.

It was ZD too…she instigated Zhu somehow which is why HT took her down with Changhe
