I like the change of the volunteer case in the drama. It makes HT/JX a little more even cause she put herself in danger getting evidence and didn’t leave it. In the novel, it stopped at where Tang Song paid off the husband and got the letter. The volunteer was left on her own and injured from her husband making her work instead of recovering.

They were in the same circle due to family background but their friends with benefits was always at like a hotel or something.

They made the XingChen volunteer thing bigger in the drama and Grandpa is way more involved. Maybe this will help Grandpa see JX in a better light??

It’s from the novel and from the other drama. HT pulled out due to the girl already being in love with someone else. They haven’t brought it up yet and the blind date was something that happened a long time ago. It comes out during their visit to the US while they were broken up.

The other girl was also from the same background but was a better person overall. Even if there was no blind date, ZD wasn’t someone he considered. Don’t forget, ZD didn’t just turn nasty because of rejection. She has always been that way…how she treated her employees in the beginning is an example of that. It’s just amplified now. HT and ZD knew each other for a long time so he knows her true personality. It’s why he always knew ZD was behind all those things against XingChen and JX.
