Although I wanted this closure, I wasn’t quite ready for this much sadness. Nonetheless, a very beautiful tragedy. Hope to rewatch this when there are eng subs because the language used in the drama is so deep that there are several parts I do not understand. Huang Zhizhong is amazing as the emperor and Li Yitong and Luo Jin...I have no words. I can really feel their portrayal of deep love, sacrifice and sadness into my very bones. Urgh. Gonna be waking up tomorrow with swollen eyes.

It’s the last 12 eps that were cut and left out of the original series coz of censorship.

Starting watching this with no expectations, merely because of Zhao Lushi. Binge watched all the eps in one night and am totally loving it! The ML is not the usual hot dude I’d go for hahaha, but his chemistry with ZLS is really good. Their interactions have been both hilarious and sweet. Great way to spend your free time smiling and laughing along with them and just enjoying their little story.

Truly enjoyed this light-hearted and cute drama! It was exactly what I needed in between waiting for LAR episodes mid way and a nice “dessert” after LAR ended. The leads have good chemistry and the ML is gorgeous eye candy. Even the SML is good looking and dorky in a cute way. Recommended!

Same sentiment. Hesitant to start on that drama as I cannot get the image of Cheng Yi as devoted and loving Si Feng out of my head. I will watch it at some point but not now.

What a beautiful and satisfying ending to the drama! Definitely one of the best dramas of 2020 and my favourite xianxia drama in recent years. I didn’t really like Crystal Yuan in other shows but she’s quite perfect here with Cheng Xi. As for Cheng Yi, he will go down history as the most amazing and devoted man/immortal alive in xianxia history. Even the supporting roles and villains were awesome here. 59 eps just flew by so quickly! Now let me recollect my heart and let my swollen puffy eyes recover for a bit. I’ll be rewatching this again after I’m done with the new crop of dramas!

Hahaha same sentiments. Have been sleeping only 4-5 hours a day trying to catch up with Maiden Holmes, Qing Qing Zi Jin and this. And now Promise of Chang An and Marry Me just started to air. Guess I won’t be sleeping much this weekend too. Back to L&R! I just came in to read the spoilers coz I wanted to know it’s a happy ending!

iPhone users can download an app called 月亮播放器 and either stream or download. I just watched ep 36/epilogue. Cute and sweet ending although too little time on the main CP. Nan Nan is so funny!

Truly!! One of the main reasons why I love period dramas is also coz the men (ML) tend to be pretty selfless in their devotion to the women they love. Their strong desire to protect their women at all cost and/or watch over them quietly or overtly just makes my heart (and Fallopian tubes LOL) flip, dance and do funny twists haha. Like you said, also helps that they are tall and extremely handsome. So many of them in recent dramas - Prince Yan here, SF in Love and Redemption, XY in The Sleepless Princess etc. Mmmm!

Decided to watch this drama after seeing comments from a few familiar faces on MDL. Glad I did! Binged watched 8 eps at one go and I’m really enjoying the story so far. The ML is major eye candy and not too bad an actor. He has a good chemistry with the FL and the supporting cast is cute too! Like everyone else, hoping for a good ending, or at the very least, a happy open ending haha.

Same. I just slept at 4am catching up with the latest eps and got up at 8am for work. LOL. I think I cried from ep 48-53 haha. SF’s love and dedication is so heart wrenching!
