I typically only stick to rom coms because this genre is too depressing...especially when watching dramas is meant to be a release from the sometimes sad reality of life. Very glad that curiosity got the better of me. Once I started, I could not stop. Every ep was agonizing to watch. My heart bled, stopped and restarted, I cursed, I cried, I went to bed disbelieving what I’d just witnessed. If you are sitting on the fence wondering whether to watch this or not - DO IT. The storytelling is nothing short of exceptional, the cast is stellar, the plot twists just keeps unfolding and surprising you. The way this topic has been treated is a combination of sensitive, uncomfortable yet riveting. Definitely a 9.5/10.

Went in with no expectations as I’m not familiar with both the FL and ML. Boy was I surprised! Great chemistry and the story is quite fast paced so far. Very cute to watch the leads’ interaction. Quite hooked on this!

I didn’t think I’d enjoy it at first but once I started, I watched all 10 eps in a day! It’s light-hearted and fun to watch amidst all the COVID-19 gloom. Zhang Ruonan is really cute! Don’t think too much about the plot or character development. It’s just something fluffy and good to lift your mood.

I’m a mess. One moment I’m chuckling and the next, I’m crying. My hubby thinks I’m nuts. I’ll repeat again - the storytelling, the character development, the cast, the OST. Wonderful. First rate. Haven’t gushed about a Kdrama like this for some time!

Grrrrrr went to rewatch the last ep after a friend alerted me that there will be a season two. I’m happy at the possibility of seeing Xiao Song again but miffed with Su Fu not dead. Argh!

Hahaha. I will settle for an imaginary relationship with XS. Such forms of escapism can do wonders for one’s morale. My hubby is very used to this by now!

Ooh that was one of my favourite scenes. I so wanted to marry XS when he rescued RY then!!

This has been my drama crack for a few weeks. I adore XS coz he is intelligent and ultra sweet, even as he is haughty and naughty. Then again, I love my drama leading men like that LOL. RY is strong and frail at the same time and her character has grown on me even though I agree she deserved to be beaten in the latest episodes. SF is just too complicated for me and I feel that he has no chemistry whatsoever with RY whereas my heart would skip a beat when I see RY together with XS, especially in their sweet moments. I am so crazy about this drama that I am reading the novel coz I don’t quite like the fact that my dear XS and RY are still going through epic shit with just 4 more episodes left to the end of the drama. Having watched the trailers for the final eps, I feel like stabbing my eyeballs in frustration. ARGHHHH.
