As said last week only the previous king and the price turned king are doing some job and they completely deserve their pay. everything else is just too thin and lack of intensity from other sides. romance usually brings down many kdramas and here too seems that route is strongly playing now. Lots time wastage and lot of filler with intentional dumb characters so hero could look decent not doing any favour to the show at all. Another waste potential. If ur story is good then u don't need to depend upon foolish antics and cliches with overdone tropes.

there wasn't much to do in episode 03 so it being simple cliche actually worked and made it look better than bleh 1st week, but by 4th episode writer back on track to same below avg. stuff. n expecting logic from a kdrama a big feat and now most writers depend up other story to fill the quota of 16 episodes. nothing much there to talk about such content but surely writer earning easy money with little to no efforts.
This show is very deficient in palace politics and at the same time got the hero his job. The factor that could hv made it above avg. is the factor that is keeping it just avg. And as expected from any kdrama writer, forced romance is driving it down - the show lacks that intensity and actually, its the king that boosted the show compared to the hero. Hero playing his cards now brings more character which is good. heroine as usual the weak point. Direction also needed careful editing. Music is your typical one. Overall the story had n still has potential - characters r weak and coming off as fillers than bringing anything on table. hero alone can't drive the whole show forward.
Another rich this n that drama n where every -ve leads to businessmen with some sprinkle of politics+corruption buzzwords n hero team being justice seekers. stale food made interesting by adding an influencer as a police. pretty avg. 1st week.

it's the same copy-paste again. job of a kdrama writer d most easiest - do nothing, no effort, no sense - just copy same stale formula everywhere n reap d benefits. U hv 2 give credit 2 riters for running such scams for years and increasing their wealth. another low quality stuff with no merits at all.

And when you hv a job, that is to create drama and nothing more. proper usage of job prop. The mother does more work in reality as in drama compared to al these pretty faces. These writers have it ay too easy - literally run youube videos in the name of a drama. tiktok skits put more efforts into their content.
