This writing is as much trash as much writer made the mother. It's another hero worship as well as audience appeasement on steroids. It completely lacks in story and pretty low quality characters. Inconsistency and incoherence is the style of the whole show. Writer has only one trick - the mother - to create drama and stretch the show- It's a proper soup and nothing more.

Writer is selling the heroine the hero - which is just a big scam and full on fake. pretty phony, unrealistic and full of delusions - well, audience does like to self-insert and that's how writers make money. good for writer's bank balance but very low quality media overall.

Even copy-paste demands some skills. The mother, even though, is highly exaggerated has come out to be the only character that actually brings some value or to say some truth into this whole bullshit of story. She annoys you, frustrates you, makes you angry but also is far far more realistic character compared to phony pretty face hero-heroine.

This show surely is pretty frustrating for the initial week. cliche characters and cliche copy-paste story. Overall seems like an avg. typical chinese timepass.

Presentation matters. Whether it's good or not is an open view so i won't get into it.

cliches and tropes can't always be take negatively but this kind of boorish display of writing is literal mocking the audience. nonsense not demands lengthy chit-chats and debates and defending this n that act to character but her everything is apparent.

This soup is still being soup with all the no sense around. Writer is trying best to milk the cow as much possible with such lousy writing . Hero-heroine can't do much when everything around is so much low quality. Even hero-heroine face the same cliche kdrama routes that are too superficial and forced that everything looks pretty fake.

Kdrama writers usually have not much to fill the quota of 16 episodes so they blatantly use every foolish idea and here you have all this business trash going on while happily mocking the intelligence of the audience. Writer is enjoying the money, broadcaster is enjoying good ranking but, the fact is show is below average. Music and acting is trying to salvage it a bit but what can they do when writing f such quality.

3rd week is better than 1st 2 weeks but still it barely came out as average. 80 Minutes for an episode and writer still play soap opera. Most kdrama writers now rely on other stories to fill the quota of 16 episodes and completely dedicate time to spice things up for drama which not only hinders but actually ruin the main characters most of the time.

Hero-heroine can have their own dozens of troubles and issues and you not need to create such idiotic and superficial outside factors or forces to present them as a functional beings and more so a couple. A story with all cliches and stale tropes can work out if main leads can breath naturally with freedom which for sure here isn't the scenario.

With he budget the show had potential and but all around it is playing more like a cheap skit than anything substantial.
The key buzzword of this show is "communication". A buzzword that's it.

The drama is all over the place with its story the soap opera - only thing here is a bigger budget. Every side characters are caricature then main are also same copy-paste ones. For such lengthy episodes most of the stuff is filler and what isn't is also barely touches the surface. writer is typical korean hack who can't even compete against some tiktokers. Director is pretty bad too. the whole romance is much forcefully served and whole relationships are a boorish parade of fake disputes.
Show isn't doing anything new and yet writer can't even copy-paste properly.

Another kdrama with same copy-paste story and characters. budget is good. direction also lacks. same cliches and tropes are too many. writer is trying hard to convey that they are different from other kdrama writers but using the same cheap things. Writer want to do many things and so ruining the only thing that can move the show aka presentation.

The story could have done without all the soap opera drama and many more things. But kdrama writers have only one way to do things and here the same is being applied.

Lot could have been done in the 1st week but nothing of importance was done. it was tiktok and scroll reels type scenario.

I saw trailers through HULU so intial view was that it's a japanese show and then came across FX trailers n u r absolutely right that it's a western show from start. But, i was talking about web platform broadcasters for the main region from the 1st comment itself.

Shogun n one piece both have different sources. i'm talking about print media here.

As soon as the trailer came - it was clear it will beat every low quality king's time kdrama by wide margin. If your source is good and you are ready to spend money into your art then you get the quality product.
Disney hit the home run here and even netflix japan good better management compared to other regions.

same low quality story and plot and nothing much for presentation either. The biggest and the only +ve is - The heroine and that mature cheobal girl.
Heroine is carrying the show. writer is good with dialogues but not with story+plot.
Hero does nothing for being a smart business guy.

overall, same copy-paste from story to character but heroine this time is using brain and showing more sense.
