My translation from it
Qing Qing, a girl from the Yue kingdom, breaks into the Wu Palace to retrieve her father's belongings. Jianlu steals the sword, shocking the whole palace. Qing Qing then meets Sun Wu's descendants and also meets her long-lost acquaintance from the Yue kingdom, Xi Shi, who accidentally gets involved in the open and secret struggle between the states of Wu and Yue and becomes an accomplice in murdering the great Sun Wu.
Qing Qing inherited a secret technique from a great dying soldier and returned to the country of Yue, but became the target of the countries trying to get her or assassinate her. To respect her father's last wish, Qing Qing, convinced by Fan Li, began teaching swordsmanship to Yue Kingdom warriors. However, with a soldier's accidental death, another secret is found...
Gou Jian has been training diligently for ten years. How could he not become a skilled swordsman? Did three thousand Yue warriors really invade Gusu? How many of these stories are exaggerations or lies? During the Spring and Autumn Period, how many conspiracies were plotted by the masters and their numerous disciples across one hundred and twenty-six cities in ten different countries?
I don’t understand the synopsis. The translation makes no sense. I rephrased it. If you have a better version, please share!
For centuries, the war has persisted. This is an era of heroes and famous generals, assassins and beautiful women, conspiracy and espionage. A strong man values his promise, but a king despises life and death. Beauty is a source of disaster, and white hair elders tell a long story. A smile can captivate a city, and a word can destroy a country.
Fu Cha once held dominion, but everything turned around. Xi Shi endured humiliation for ten years and looked back with clouds. Qingqing, a Yue girl, infiltrated the Wu Palace to retrieve her father's relics. The sword was stolen from the Jianlu, and the Wu palace was shaken. Qingqing encountered the descendant of Sun Wu and also saw the long-lost Yue girl Xishi. She was involuntarily drawn into the overt and covert conflicts between Wu and Yue and witnessed the tragedy of the assassin, the helplessness of the guest, the shamelessness of the counsellor and the unrighteousness of the king
yes. in fact he cheated and married few I think. I jumped on episodes here and there.
the last image is him alone watching the horizon on top of a hill on his horse. But I am not 100% sure he has an empress next to him after her departure.
It looks like S1 is very light and S2 very dark. that's my impression but since I did not watch the full drama, I may be biased here.
sidenote: I am not a big fan of Allen though lolll
Wow, your summary is great. I have read all of them. No wonder you don't enjoy the drama as much. Thanks for the…
yes. Ye Liuyun showed up out of the blue the last 2 minutes of the epilogue. (definitely NOT in the novel lollll)
Regarding the good character... I may be wrong. The major issue I have with the novel is the translation at times. Names are mixed up a lot. I re-read a part and it seems that the good character was in jail for a couple of years and once free, he joined Fan Xian in his exile too.
To be honest, I loved chapters 1 2 3 4 and 5... not much 6 (for me it was a bit too long)... and 7 was definitely the more teary (Thanks Gawd I was alone crying like a baby at one scene).
Regarding the author, Mao Ni, many times reading the novel I thought he was a misogynic and homophobic.
Each time I try to update MDL, I get rejected. So here goes lol
Exactly. I also tried to correct some synopsis that were so badly translated that my teeth hurt… nope. And you nailed it. After few attempts I got tired to be slapped. I gave up giving my time.

Only 1 great-grandmaster left Ye Liuyun + wu zhu who is no martial but is above a grandmaster. While in Dongyi, when the grandmaster sigu died, Ye land master Fei (poison master) showed up in a big boat and said their farewell to western countries with no return. Meanwhile the grandmaster Ku He also died. Dognyi gave his sect to fan Xian and Ku He gave a book in Italian (why, no idea, no explanation fromauthor… maybe he was on vacation in Italy when he wrote that part?). The notebook help fan Xian to reach almost the realm, but not quite. Fan Xian could not understand the notebook but he learned it phonetically and it worked. (yeah yeah… at times the author was homophobic, very misogynistic and forgot his own plot added few inconsistencies that made no sense )
So left the emperor and wu Zhu. At the end fan Xian was the strongest 9-ranked in all kingdoms, including above duoduo and thirteen wang.
Wu Zhu was very badly injured but last page of the novel, we know he recovered physically. He also recovered his feelings, few memories, including the understanding that fan. Ian is his family.
Most of the good characters stayed alive, except 1.
Fan Xian is put on a pedestal by all kingdoms because he went to the divine temple, came back alive and is the only one who knows what happened to earth. He is around 26 years old. Wanner, 2 kids, sisi, dabao and closed aides and more live with him in exile
Regarding Yan grandfather, The screenwriter forgot to tie the knot. It was never in the novel. But may you'll see Is it in S3? Yan betrayed fan Xian in the end. He didn't die but fan Xian didn't forgive him.

It's quite amusing to see how one synopsis places the female lead at the center of the story, while the other shifts the focus to the male lead.
Which female actress do you think could match the charismatic strong personality of the male lead, so she won't be overshadowed by him?
