If you actually read their interview with Elle, Subin explained that he might act cold or indifferent towards someone he likes, but silently cares for her to the little details. He himself has been attracted to Heesun, especially after the photoshoot. Everyone in the island knows that Subin is guarding Heesun so the other guys couldn't get close to her.

Btw, there is chinese version of Single's Inferno, called Live and Love. This show is really good. Fun and refreshing with some plot twists! All games require team work (men and women in one team). You will actually see man vs woman wrestling to survive!
If you say SI is boring and the male cast are too passive, Live and Love has proactive men who will fight for their girls, with blunt and straightforward women who dgaf with cheesy flirting. I think if these chinese ladies meet the korean men, these men will be cooked! š The ladies care about the man's view about love and their efforts, not how they flirt.
I just realized something is missing in this season: the friendship. In s3, the girls or the boys would gather in one room and spilled all the tea. It was so much fun to watch them shared every gossips available. In s4 they also did the same. In s5, all these moments were cut. I believe there are some friendship built in the island, spilling all the hottest tea, but somehow the staff didn't show it.

If they put Minasue as the catfish, their world would turn upside down. Yes, having Minasue from the start made the show fun, but it actually backfired bcos viewers love Minji instead. They should learn from Minji (3) and Haelin (4) situations since they have similar personalities with Haeun. Minji was played by Minyoung and Gwanhee, while Haelin disappeared into the background.
