It's not like they show rape scenes in lakorns, they don't even show kiss scenes propeply LOL They show the man grabbing the girl, she screams and then the scene is cut. As for violence, it's fake really. I told you they're amateurish :D
You didn't even finish A Man's story yet? I thought you liked it why did you back out on it?

Yes you can! Drastic changes are good though :D Are you almost done with Salaryman? I agree that the writing pulled it off in a great way; I was so happy to watch a different type of Korean drama at the time but unlike you I liked it ever since the very beginning when all of those salarymen and the company's president were fighting in the golf course :D
The Five is a potential film that I may watch in the future. You can always count me in in any Thriller made in Korea.
As for me, well I am really enjoying Great Teacher Onizuka (1998), my top drama at the moment. I am also liking Beyond the Clouds, I dilsike melodramas but I totally have a soft spot for revenge melos. On the other hand, I am counting days until Inspiring Generation ends.

Oh, I just read your comment now; if I knew you were very curious, I would've replied to you sooner. I am sorry for being late cat.
Let's see, I am enjoying this drama a lot! It's my top drama at the moment and you're right Sorimachi playing the male lead is just a brilliant choice. Also, yes I do find this drama way better than Gokusen although I didn't find the latter unbearable like you did. Moreover, after I finish this one; I don't think I will be watching the remake.
About older dramas, I love older dramas! Mainly Japanese ones because they have their own special plots and actors. I always get into older Jdramas' phase, mainly from 1998-2002 or 2004. And I agree with your facepalm, people who watch dramas only for fashion or cinematography deserve it very well (:

You know who's the writer for Wonderful Days, right? It's the same writer of Innocent Man and I am Sorry I Love You, I've got to admit that I have some reservations against that writer but I am always willing to give writers a chance more than actors themselves. Dimples and Kim Hee Sun together is something I totally want to see! I may have to wait until this reaches 30+ episodes to decide whether or not I should pick it up.
I saw your updates about Yakou Kanransha, is is still to your liking?

Alfredo's death was so touching. It's an anime that I will tell my children about I am telling you :D I am glad you're enjoying it.
Ah, you count dramas and animes on the same boat then? So after you finish you will go back to films and Running Man, ne?
At the moment, my top drama has got to be Great Teacher Onizuka: GTO the 1998 origial version. It's just too good and I am enjoying it from the bottom of my heart even if I decided to keep my distance from school dramas, this one is truly great. I don't know how you feel about school dramas though. If you want my full opinion without spoilers, you can read the first episode review I wrote. It will help you decide whether you want to pick this one up or not.
I am also enjoying Beyond the Clouds, I dislike melodramas but I clearly have a soft spot for revenge melodramas if you had noticed. So far, this drama is treating me well. Inspiring Generation has got to be the drama I am not exactly enjoying, I just want it to be over this week so that I can get over with it.

I am afraid I haven't heard of this "Into the Fire" and I didn't find it in the database, the drama belongs to a cable TV so I wouldn't expect strong casting.
Choi Soo Jong is someone I need to discover, I have lots of actors I need to discover but too little time to do so. Maybe my first encounter with him will be in Comrades since I am always interested in a North/South Korea drama. But as you said, that will take a long time.
The Greatest Love! Right! And I was thinking where I saw Yoon Kye Sang before. His role here is on a whole different level, I am telling you. The guy is absorbing and darn how much I love the angst and when he starts acting hateful.
The spring season has lots of gems coming up, I am telling you. I decided to not pick what dramas to watch until they get subbed but I can't help picking up Biiter Bllod, Roosevelt Game, Black President, BORDER, Mozu, Long Goodbye with my beloved Asano and probably Alice no Toge. Too many dramas for someone who doesn't want to pick yet, ne? LOL

I am sorry Erin, "Elin" is a friend whom I am talking with through private messages, you guys get me confused sometimes :D
So far, I can clearly say that I like Beyond the Clouds, you know me with revenge melodramas; we get along so well and it's definitely a plus that I like the male lead. Awesome!
As for Wonderful Days, it's not like the main actors are my favorite actors or something, I just like them but I don't think they're great actors so I wouldn't watch a drama for their sake and the screenwriter isn't someone I am comfortable with either.
I did watch Turkish dramas back in the days since they're quite famous in our region. Now, I don't watch them anymore because my patience level can't keep up with long dramas but I do go back to them sometimes.
I am familiar with Bir ask Hikayesi but I didn't find it that great.

I am sure that CEO's don't actually sit around and talk all day LOL Kdramas are ruining many professions on screen :D
That's what I am homing to see, people getting more mature even if it's inevitable to have Immature people around. All what we have to do is hold still and be patient LOL
Earlier I was reading what Sandrose wrote to me about Comrades, it does seem like both of you are going into "Comrades' fever" at the moment so I can fully understand :D I will also watch the drama when I am in the right mood (that may take a long time to come by the way :p)
I started watching Beyond the Clouds and so far, I am liking the vibes and the male lead; he's great!
I was watching some teasers of the upcoming spring season's dramas and I am getting all excited although I totally need to watch at least three dramas I've been planning to see from the winter season.
I am also happy to know that 4 episodes are already subbed from Gunshi Kanbei, I hope the subber will keep up doing great.

I watched that! I told you that I watched many older animes but don't know their English titles; when you mentioned friendship and Italy, I knew it was the anime I saw when I was a kid. In our region, the literal translation of the Arabic title was "Friendship Pact" since they always change titles the way they see fit. As a recall right, the main characters were Romeo and Alfredo; a memorable anime.
At the moment you're only watching that anime? No films or variety shows?
We all love MDL, that's why we keep on crawling back here LOL It made me meet many great people (:

Are you still watching some films alongside dramas?

I read your thoughts and Reise's thoughts about Comrades; I haven't heard about this drama before but I certainly need to pick it up at some point because the North/South Korea dramas and films can never get boring or outdated for me.
It's nice to know that you enjoyed Parallel Theory, I gave it a bit more in rating because I enjoyed it more than I should have. It was such a great film for me.
You got that right, GTO is definitely better than IG even B the Clouds, a melo which I recently started will be better than IG. I am just trying to hold still until this drama finishes.
You're watching Wonderful Days? How is it treating you?
Considering the fact that Aoki and Shinishi are my favorite characters in this drama, when Shinishi died; I swear half of my little interest in Inspiring Generation dropped to half. Thank God there's still Aoki to relate to or it would've been pretty meaningless to continue watching this drama.
I hoped that Gaya gave up on SJT sooner so that she would give more attention to Aoki; he's totally the man for her and no one can convince me otherwise. As for Ok Ryeon and Shin Jung Tae, I truly don't care about them. They can go to hell or whatever.

So you're watching a local series (or you were); I don't remember the last time I watched a local serie, I think the only ones that pick my interest are the the comedy oriented ones.
I am afraid I haven't even heard about True Dtective but I totally need to update my western series knowledge and status. I am being bad to series that overtook my life for years.
Htaful male leads are awesome! I've got to say they're my favorite types of male leads. But being hateful can be so hateful with Thai lakorn, they can be so violent with female leads and even rape them. Sadist type of love, I give you that.
A Man's story male lead was hateful? I totally need to get around that drama soon! But what's with the sister complex? Not incest, ne?
