To those who says that SMY does not give "killer vibes." I disagree. He is dangerous and is a killer. From the flashbacks to present he has killed countless people but he will kill when they deserve it. By order (as in missions) or simply to survive in the Dark River. That's the internal conflict/arc SMY is centered around and even the plot is centered around "his push and pull" internal conflict.
Like most of the comments here SMY is not supposed to radiate "killer vibes". His character is conflicted from the start. So many of the characters around himhave even noticed and voiced it that he is not a killer but because of a promise/oath to keep his best friend and himself alive he'll do to keep it to protect the Patriarch.
When he kills, he kills. He's ruthless but to go looking for killer vibes and to kill for sport, you'll leave disappointed. The hesitancy to kill on screen is not that GJ is a bad actor. GJ is literally playing the role he is portraying - an assassin who is so conflicted internally about his life purpose and place in the Dark River - A man who wants to be Good but cannot in order to Survive and to protect the organization he helped build.
Gong Jun is simply portraying SMY character. I like GJ acting and facial expressions after episode 1 but it's too early to call it. But I'll keep tuning in.
This drama lacks punch because lead sucks. i am in 3rd episode. Just dont feel it. fight chroreography is ok.…

OH MY GOSH. I've been waiting for over a year rewatching all the BTS since June 2024, and it's finally out. I've studied all the clips so far and I feel confident in GJ acting, the script, director, etc. I'm so anxious and have so high hopes this will be his breakthrough. Go GJ GO!!
I am so excited I can't even hide it. Already purchased VIP for YOUKU. Monday night 7PM CST United States for yours truly. I'll keep checking here to see what y'all say though because I'm nosy . 🧐👀😅
Me watching the 4+ min MV "Meeting" and the trailer at 0.5 speed 30+ times to study all the Gong Jun shots as if I'm the director calling all the artistic shots like: 👀👀👀👀.
Are you no braincells? Youku conference Today only not announcement of air date. You can't read? The investment…
@Tom Whoa chill. I'm in the United States. I have no clue how premiere dates work for these online streaming platforms. Excited of the trailer, but geez. You're not fluent in English and that's okay but you can't go on attack mode. Way to ruin the atmosphere.
