my opinion, i don't think YY was sabotaged. His celestial robe could not be completed maybe because he is not 100% celestial and has demon lineage in him. Being sent to the mortal realm as a mortal must be a double edged sword for YY the way i see it being presented.
How easy was it to snuff out that evil candle? less than 10 minutes while she got so much damn air time for torturing YD and Zhixi. Am satisfied at the revenge in a sense but would have loved it more if YY was there to witness because he could have contributed to the 'sound bat' thingy being used on him and have the satisfaction of pushing that candle into the pool too.
Is Yin Deng truly wanted to seduce Supreme Emperor? Or it is just scheme of Zhi Xi? It is little bit unclear to…
Yes and Yes. Yin Deng wanted to seduce YY but has not initiated the love spell yet but Zhi xi took the jade attachment to initiate a theft investigation and cause Yin Deng to be caught.
that is what is being contemplated, i remember in the trailer YD was sent to the mortal realm to be a flower spirit but i have no idea why she is being called a demon per say.
Just for laughs, I wonder if the mystical 'tortoise' that was released into the mortal world would ever meet YY/TZ and IF that happens would the tortoise flip TZ over??
I like that you can openly discuss this as I am up for some debate & contemplation.your opinion 1 is valid -my…
i. am implying the same thing about the hair knot because the only person who knows its existence was YY thus how can this effect YD in any way? but the lotus burner thingy was a parting gift from YY to YD so I consider it a break up (to console) gift rather than a love token (just saying) because YD had sent it to be burnt (due to heart break at matching zhixi with YY) so again makes sense why YY kept the thingy instead of destroying it because technically YD did not know that thingy was not destroyed to begin with.
ii. from what i heard YY said he wanted her to be a flower spirit, free and unrestrained (from the rewatch) but yes the trailer does quote that YD is a 'demon' while TZ is a demon hunter- would be really interesting to find out as the drama unfolds how a demon hunter got a demon to stay and serve him. the irony is so steep in the mortal arc.
in all honesty what i called the dream team (the original production team of Eternal Love (TMOPB)) am now deeply aware who is the director / producer that has the rank of 'class clown'. I hope when the new episodes drop in 2 days it will solve all these assumptions/contradictions because the suspense is kind of unbearable at the moment. :-)

my thoughts - i. the reason why i felt that the hair knot has more meaning was because of symbolism in history plus that lotus thingy was carved by YY to TD as a parting gift of their time in the hut while the only person who knew about the hair knot is basically YY alone. its her heart - half she willingly split to save YY because she could and wanted to that is the biggest sacrifice between the two sweethearts (lovers is fat fetched at this point). circling back to that hairpin if there are memories there for YD how did she manage to 'forget' YY and cross the river? unless the logically explanation is that YY temporarily sealed the hairpin only to be unsealed as she journeyed to the mortal world?
ii. in most ancient history (currently considered myths) there use to be more than 3 realms (realm of the great gods / heavenly realm/ mortal realm / demon realm the list i think does go on) however because of the great war between gods and demons many great gods were sacrificed and the realm of great gods was kind of empty so it was combined and if i am not mistaken according to the myths became as we now know - heavens in the sky, mortal or earth / land then the underground or hell. taking this concept into consideration i think this drama is depicting that the mortal realm is shared by demons before hell was created to house the demons/sinners what ever we want to call it.
after reciting all that interesting history ;-) i think that because YD landed in the mortal realm and started to cultivate she was assumed as a demon? when she actually is not (this is just my take) there are some people (today) who still practise the arts (which many akin to witchcraft) so are they demons? or devil's kin? maybe? but they still die so i am thinking that back in ancient times - if one practises cultivation/prayers they are considered evil. while YY who eventually became TZ is a demon hunter catching those who practise/preach or teach the arts of devil worshipping.
contradiction, IF YY memories and powers have been with held by that heavenly emperor then how the heck is TZ going to investigate anything? he can't remember nor know his mission/purpose of being in the mortal realm to begin with. I saw in the official MV that demon sword is being used by TZ so it would be interesting for a (half demon) TZ to stab actually demons with that sword it would be like a reenactment of love and redemption (luo ho ji du to female god of war) thankfully YY/TZ remain as a man.
Alright, I am on episode 10 and someone better snuff out this candle bitch fast😤😤
sadly she is still around and is the evil female lead. i would like to strangle her as well because of that soft squeaky voice that annoys me to no end. :-)
I get it with this drama, there are only so many ways to tell a story about a dijun - Love and Redemption / TMOPB/ELOD/current is immortal samsara. then the God of War storyline - TMOPB/Love and Destiny/part of Ashes of Love
however i am now noticing on the rewatch and impressed with YY quickchange scenes - whenever he gets into fights with the demon clan from white he suddenly has a scarlet costume on then again in the night forgetting scene where he was wearing gray that changes to a black costume in a blink of a eye. the production did not skimp on the costumes for the male lead that character has tons of clothes considering he a 'frugal' dijun. :-)
don't get me wrong i enjoy when the actors get a few change of clothes /costumes instead of forever wearing the same thing over and over again.
I thought it sounded different too, so I think the trailers were probably released before the voice actors had…
in the mv for this drama (jason & jane zhang) the voice is different again for YY. I thought I was imagining things but went back to rewatch so i guess they did 2 voiceovers and one with the actual voice? after just pick and choose. its anyone guess at this rate.
EP 18 DISCUSSION AHEAD: Ok so I'll say this here hoping I find someone to talk about it with because my friends…
I like that you can openly discuss this as I am up for some debate & contemplation.
your opinion 1 is valid - my thoughts, i. until YY pulled out that knot of hair did the viewers know he actually had it and that is considered a token in the drama when in actuality the tying of hair are for couples on their wedding night which kind of contradicted it being just a lovers token i feel it symbolizes more. ii. the incense burner lotus thingy seems to be important (to the production team) as its indestructible and will be used later (i assume) but in all honestly i still feel the hair knot holds much deeper meaning. iii. as does the hairpin why burn hair but leave the pin with memories this is where i start to question the sensibility of the screenwriter iv. right on point with the heart it is YD's heart so what she feels i think YY should too again how does she forget when YY has a vital piece of her with him forever?
opinion 2 : i. i think the heavenly king sent YY to the mortal world with his memories and power intact (don't quote me) am just watching the trailer so unless it has been translated wrongly than things are going to go south real quick with the 2 love birds. ii. my two cents worth is that IF YY is reincarnated as TZ with memories and powers i think he partially made up being sent to the mortal world to search for answers while actually trying to look for YD to sort of check up on her and maybe to be with her as a mortal even if for a while to enjoy what they both could not have in the heavens??
based on the trailers i think the mortal arc might be the funniest part yet of this drama but take what i have written with a bag of salt or two.
consider me the team who supports this production team but i feel that everything if not most of the teeny weeny details are taken into consideration for this drama. from the trailer, i think TZ (mortal) voice is different from YY (heavenly immortal) which is genius if true since both are technically two different people but the same all at once. Can't wait till mortal arc starts.
Maybe it's gonna be his sword as Tang Zhou. Yu Mo summons a fan as his weapon and I saw Tang Zhou summons a sword.…
in the trailer that was a scene where TZ was about to stab YD (in a sacrifice ?) looks like that sword you are talking about so probably its being used in the mortal arc.
Why does the evil fairy get so much air time. I cant stand that character. Why does she catch all the breaks?…
I understand what you are getting at. I am just as annoyed because that actress in other drama plays the soft voice maiden in splendour who has ulterior motives again plays almost similar characteristics but more evil in this drama. This is a ancient history drama where the woman is the dummy who sacrifices everything for the guy only for the guy to realise at the last minute what the woman has done for him then he comes out in a blaze of glory to do the one act to save the woman and the world (figuratively speaking). honestly episodes 16-18 to me are filler episodes and technically dragging at this point.
